Re: Transistor for IR Transmitter

- The bc337 is a small signal transistor and maybe causes your problems. I've been using the same setup with the same transistor and it works perfectly with my TV and AV receiver, but not my Xbox360. I think 38kHz is not too high for a BJT. -perhaps the carrier frequency of the led circuit does not...

I'm also having trouble controlling my 360. I have the same circuit as you, but my r-pi can successfully control my TV and AV receiver. Just not my 360.

Any help would be appreciated =)

Re: Net-Enabled Digital Photoframe

@hippy

I take it that you haven't hosted a site before, but a website logs everyone who visits, where they came from, and what they do.

Setting someone up is not as easy as what you explained, otherwise image hosting services would not exist.

I should point out that the porn isn't the point of this, I would rather people experimented and had fun with it. But it is something that i accept will happen.

I don't plan on using a browser?

The R-Pi for this will just display the current image as the root window background. So it will have X, but probably no gui applications.

Re: Net-Enabled Digital Photoframe

Right I see. Well the idea of this is that the site will be hosted on the R-Pi that is connected to the screen. But if the site gets too much traffic for the board to handle, or if people want to use the current picture on their own devices, then I'll probably implement a push system.

Compiz is actually not half bad. I have a desktop running compiz as it's window manager, so desktop environment. Its suprising light on ram, though I cant recal exactly how much it uses.15
