Re: Printer not being recognised in lsusb

lsusb shows you what devices are connected thru USB, and it doesn't need any driver to recognise them. Have you tried any other device in that usb port, like a mouse or keyboard?

Re: Backup image with dd exact size

Well, sdb is a disk of 60Gb. Although you have only occuped 4Gb, that not means that info are all in the beggining of the disk. Maybe the the problem is this. You can try to change the size of sdb2 partition to make sure that sdb1 and sdb2 fits in a 16Gb unit.

Re: AYUDA CON TFT DE DVD PORTATIL A INSTALAR EN RASPBERRY

Re: GPIO to sense a switch closure

Reiterating safety ussues, maybe you can use a ADC for Raspberry. It is not use to be too expensive. Simply read the value input. With an ADC of 16 bits and powered at 3.3V, you will have a value near 10,000 when that 500mV appears.

Maybe you can try with motor drivers with direction change characteristic. I don't know any model, but I suppose it is easy to find.

Re: Multiple Relays

Both boards are optocoupled, so probably they will work. Now, things to keep in mind: - Connect GND of the boards with GND of the RPi. If you don't want to have power supply problems, power the relay board with a external power supply, not with the 5V of the GPIO. - Now, make a list of the GPIOs of ...

Re: GPIO Socket

Touchscreen displays connected to GPIO socket used to take only the SPI interface:

- CLK: GPIO11 (23)
- MISO: GPIO09 (21)
-MOSI: GPIO10) (19)
- Screen enabled: GPIO08 (24)
- Touch enabled: GPIO07 (26)
- 5V
-3.3V
-GND

Anyway, check the docs of your display to find out what pins are.

Re: Cloning an SD Image for use on the same LAN

Keep in mind that the ip assigned to a device in a network with DHCP (dynamic IP) depends on the MAC of the ethernet or wifi interface. So you will not have any problem. Both RPis will be different into the same network even it's images are cloned.

Re: Motion sensor with RFI/EMI (?)

¿Can you put any image of the assembly? ¿PIR model? ¿Conections?

PIR sensor works with infrared radiation. WiFi waves should not affect to it.

Make sure that any led nor hear source are near the sensor.

Re: Connecting a screen and an nfc reader at once

Yes and no. That RFId reader uses SPI. SPI is a sync bus: one line for clock (generated by master), one line for Slave Output-Master Input and one line for Slave Input-Master Output. Also you will need a ENABLE line for each device that you connect to the bus. That means that you could connect it, b...

Yes, you could connect both devices. The screen uses SPI port, and the RFId reader uses UART.

Re: Undertaking ambitious project - questions

LCD screen, should I get one that will connect via micro HDMI or the GPIO ports? And should it be touch screen? If you get a HDMI screen, you will need a external power supply. The LCD screens by SPI (GPIO port) are more compact, probably the best option in your case. Some small keypad or keyboard ...
