Logs flooded with kernel timeout messages relating to mmc

I'm using a Raspberry Pi 4 installed with Raspbian Buster and successfully netbooting without the use of an SD card. Yes I've tried shutdown -r , etc. but with the same behaviour. I just don't get it because there shouldn't be any difference in behaviour at that stage between a cold boot and a reboot.
