MagPi subscription

Evening all.
Is there a way I can find out when my MagPi subscription runs out?
It must be about now which is reinforced by the fact that ones hasn't come through my door this week.

Anywhere I can log in somewhere to check?

Re: What type of build project would you like to see in Magpi?

... there are so many threads I'm not surprised the odd one gets missed. It would be fantastic if The MagPi did a wheeled robot build over a couple of issues or so. You could start by first listing the suggested components in the first part or the article, then the following month build those items ...

Connecting to Windows

Afternoon all. I've googled this and found so many thing, most of which is confusing, that I thought I'd come to the place that I really do hope can help me. In short I have a network drive that I want to connect my NOOBS Pi3+ to but I'm struggling - can anyone provide a link to a good SIMPLE guide ...

Re: Tripple button activated stopwatch

Thanks again Dougie.....

It's getting so bad here that I'm seriously looking at small touchscreens to connect to my Pi to get this time and motion underway!!

What type of build project would you like to see in Magpi?

A while ago I posted up about how I would like Magpi to do a robot build over several issues https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=106&t=210907&p=1302712#p1302712 . Several people liked this idea but I was also wondering what else would Pi Fans like to see as a project build in Magpi? W...

Re: Tripple button activated stopwatch

Dougie, Thanks for that - I've never seen activate.com website before but I have a feeling I'll be surfing that a bit in the future. One thing I'm not seeing is how Button 3 would stop both stopwatches - I'm assuming that I'll just put the same stop code in each stopwatch...... I'll also look at how...

Tripple button activated stopwatch

Hi All, I suffer at work from a very slow PC when carrying out my work and as such I was thinking of doing a time & motion study in which I would connect 3 buttons to my Pi, each of which would start or stop its own stopwatch with all 3 stopwatches being displayed on the screen at the same time. But...

Re: Help us build a robot

Another option. But nothing to do with the MagPi. The CamJam EduKit #3 provides the parts for a two wheeled robot. I've seen these kits but as stupid as it sounds (and also it makes me feel old to admit it) I know that these kits don't come with batteries for example and even that can be overwhelmi...

Does the article in Issue 51 November 2016 come anywhere near your needs?

(I sympathize entirely regarding videos... )
This was before my Pi time so I've not seen it at all.

Help us build a robot

As an older person I find all of the how to make things videos on the Internet not all that user friendly. I would really like to see The Magpi to do a step by step project on how to build a simple wheeled robot and how to perhaps take it as far as controlling via an android app with video feedback....

Morning. Very new to the world of Pi still and in many ways I'm struggling to get my head into it all. To help with this I thought I might look for a local Jam to visit close to me but struggling to find an active one. Even on this forum I'm struggling to find anything. Can anyone help with a good d...

I'll let you know what I do and how it goes.

Re: CamJam Edukit #3 - What is best to power the Pi?

Afternoon, Can anyone jump in on this? 1) You use a Patriot Fuel+ 5200mAh USB battery bank - obviously there are other versions on the market so my question is why have you used 5200mAh as there are many other power ratings. 2) Do you need another circuit board (or something) between the power bank ...

CamJam Edukit #3 - What is best to power the Pi?

Ok, this isn't really a nasty grumble, just a small one in that having bought two of these kits for my kids to build with over the recent school holiday, I didn't appreciate that you need a separate power source for your Pi The Pi Hut page for this says all you need to add to the kit is "add your ow...

Backing Pi to storage on a Windows network

Afternoon all. I did try a search for this but it came up with over 50,000+ suggestions. Can anyone help with a resource they have found useful to get their Pi's (either in full or just a specific pi folder) to backup to a storage drive on a Windows network. Ideally I would like it to run as part of...
