Re: STICKY: The I2S sound thread.

Awesome news JeremyBirch66! Thank you for firstly confirming I was not going mad (I tried it 3 times!), but more importantly for the solution - I shall give that a try tomorrow :D

Re: STICKY: The I2S sound thread.

Hi all, I've tried searching but there is so much information in this, and other threads, I am completely confused! I have no experience with audio on Linux, and not that much (recent at least) experience with Linux fullstop! I purchased the Adafruit MEMS microphone, and have attempted to follow htt...

Re: Purple "Noise"

Thanks HermannSW, I'll follow up on the other thread, but just for info, these are both normal cameras, not the NoIR models. Edit: Oh I can't its locked! @jamesh could the changes made that you mention in the thread above, also effect the standard camera? Its driving me nuts, as it keeps being detec...

Purple "Noise"

Hi all, wonder if anyone can help. I've noticed that several of my cameras are exhibiting what I can only describe as purple noise, when in a dark environment. During day light hours they are fine, but soon as it becomes dark, they start to randomly flash purple (and sometimes red) noise. The attach...

Re: PiKrellCam: motion vector detect + OSD web interface

This is excellent software. I have captured some really nice images and videos: http://pibat.afraidofsunlight.co.uk/pi-projects Wow, thats a nice looking camera project! I realise its quite recent still being September, but do you plan to do a write up with info on the parts used etc, as that proje...

Re: Is this the correct way to install the watchdog package?

This is what I do and as far as I see it works: - install raspbian lite, - apt-get install watchdog - edit /etc/default/watchdog and /etc/watchdog.conf Edit: - Fiddle with the watchdog systemd unit, otherwise it doesn't start. I think this is still necessary. Last message here: https://bugs.launchp...

Re: Is this the correct way to install the watchdog package?

Hi all, These seems to be one of the most recent and complete threads on the internet for the watchdog on the Pi. But I am still having problems and am still confused. Rather than rehashing what I have faced, I will simply ask the following: What, exactly, do I need to do, to enable the watchdog to ...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

It may still be worth considering this as a user-definable option to "purge all files in media folder" at a later date. As an example, a while ago I created a script to generate low res/quality versions of the videos so that I could stream them to my mobile (over poor data networks) whilst still ke...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

I'm having a problem running with motion detection on a Pi Zero and am wondering if anyone has figured out a fix - the problem is that the pi zero simply stops responding to anything on the network after a period of hours, requiring me to power cycle. I'd suspect some sort of resource exhaustion bu...

Re: Camera doesn't work while in case

I've had similar issues - all worked fine whilst on the desk, but when assembled in (home made) cases (using various techniques from double sided tape, to blu-tak) - the camera stopped working. I ordered replacements as I thought I had broken them, then found the "broken" ones worked again when not ...
