Re: [SOLVED] RPI2 + NRF24L01 SPI problem ?

Thank you meandrey for your excellent post! While compiling I got the following error: remote.cpp: In function ‘int main(int, char**)’: remote.cpp:98:12: error: ‘sleep’ was not declared in this scope sleep(1); ^ Makefile:28: recipe for target 'remote' failed make: *** [remote] Error 1 I solved that ...

Re: Print server for Windows only printer - is it possible?

I tried to use my Raspberry Pi with the Ricoh Aficio SP100e to create a network printer.
I managed to install this Linux driver: https://github.com/madlynx/ricoh-sp100
but could not get the printer to print...

Re: firewall

Re: Raspotato Pi

Apparently you can generate 5V & 4 milliamperes with 500 lb (= 226kg) of potatoes: http://makezine.com/2006/04/17/500-lb-potato-battery/
so with a Rapberry Pi you'll need a lot more...

Re: How to execute PHP scripts on command line?

I've solved it myself :)

I discovered that I hadn't installed "php5-cli", and fixed it with:

Code: Select all

$ sudo apt-get install php5-cli

[solved] How to execute PHP scripts on command line?

On my Raspberry Pi with Raspbian OS (Debian optimized for Raspberry Pi) I've installed Nginx + MySQL + PHP. Both Nginx + PHP (using php5-fpm) seem to work well as I can retrieve HTML / PHP files correctly using my browser. At another machine with Debian & Apache, I can run PHP scripts from the comma...

Re: apt-get update problem

Thanks!

Code: Select all

sudo rm /var/lib/dpkg/status
sudo touch /var/lib/dpkg/status
worked for me. After that I was able to update with "sudo apt-get update" without problem.

Re: C64 emulator

Hi,Thanks with you help, I have started to fit my Pi to a C64 I was thinking about doing the same... Nice! I have managed to get the joysticks working today too. Re: Production Ready?

Is Arch for RPi stable enough for this to work without taking any serious risks? Arch is very stable. I'm gonna run my RPi as a headless server handling dns, dhcp, smb, nfs, apache, backup, etc. and plan on using a USB-connected HDD for everything (after the initial boot of a SD-card). However, is ...

Re: arch = terminal only?

Best analogy for Arch that I've seen is from back in the day when Lego sets came with those huge base pieces. 100 dots X 100 dots or so. They became a canvas on which you could build an entire city. That's a great analogy indeed! By default, Arch Linux (and ArchLinuxARM) = command line. Until you c...

Re: Does anyone have this cheapo DVB-T/Analog tuner from Eba

I have no idea about the chipset & quality of that USB DVB-T/Analog tuner, and its compatibility with Linux. Recently I bought a similar DVB-T Stick (EZCAP, with Realtek RTL2832U chipset) because it was compatible with Linux, and mentioned at: http://sdr.osmocom.org/trac/wiki/rtl-sdr However, I have...

Re: Doubt in Keyboard+Touchpad: Laptopmate or EAPPLY?

I saw that "AK-98UNTN7-UBRII Laptopmate RII" at Amazon. And also another one, the "FAVI Entertainment Wireless Keyboard". However, both have their touchpad at a weird place next to the keyboard or in the middle of the keyboard. That doesn't seem very convenient when typing (although typing at such s...
