Re: [quick-guide] CAN bus on raspberry pi with MCP2515

If on mcp2515 set quartz 8 MHz, then:
The desired CAN bus speed is not possible with the specified CAN clock frequency and tolerance.
May be 16 or 24 MHz.
On 8 MHz max = 500 KBit/Sec

Re: Mutichannel analog input data acquisition

I do similar things on STM32F100. 10 channels of ADC / 12 bits. It's work through the UART. There are several ports in the Raspberry. The speed should be set to 921600 bps.
For a few blocks, I use a CAN bus. http://open-plc.blogspot.ru/2016/12/ope ... logic.html

Re: [quick-guide] CAN bus on raspberry pi with MCP2515

Hi All! I continue to develop the idea of working with a can bus through an adapter USB-UART-CAN. On Raspberry PI you can use UART-CAN adapter directly, witout USB-UART. An introduction to what's done: http://open-plc.blogspot.ru/2016/12/open-source-plc-programmable-logic.html You can use up to 100 ...

Re: [quick-guide] CAN bus on raspberry pi with MCP2515

You can use my device: UART <-> CAN adapter "CAN Gate". Download: open-plc.com/download.html
It's device have simple text protocol for communicate to CAN BUS, like Linux cansend, candump.
Project is opensource.
