Thanks.

Unfortunately it didn't help, they can't access my account for some reason.

Contact phone number for subscriptions?

Is there a phone number I can call regarding my subscription? I've emailled support twice in the last week and got no reply. My July #83 issue hasn't arrived, and according to my account screen the it isn't due to be despatched until 23rd July, whereas all the other issues are due on 2nd. Other peop...

In that case the Google AIY Voice kit download needs updating as it was with that I had the problem a few days ago. But good to hear it has been fixed.

Re: failure to connect to raspberry using VNC Viewer

I've had similar problems with 3 different Pi's (Zero W, 3A+ 3B+), not sure if it is the same problem but this fix might work for you, it did for me. There's a thread on the forum at https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=174861 about problems connecting to a headless Pi from VNC, n...

I don't know it it makes a difference but your link is to the V2 kit and you subject says V1.0.

The V1.0 instructions are here: https://aiyprojects.withgoogle.com/voice-v1/

Re: Wifi pi 3 model B does not work

I set up my Pi 3B+ with AIY kit last week. Downloaded the latest version of Raspbian, using the link on the Google AIY instruction website. Set up the SSH, wpa_supplicant, just as I had with previous versions of Raspbian on headless set ups - but it didn't work. After connecting a screen I could see...

Re: Can I use Pi-Top OS without Pi-top Hardware

I wouldn't bother with Pi-Top OS, just use Raspbian from the Rasberry Pi website. Pi-Top is just Raspbian with some extra software to run the Pi-Top hardware. Also the Pi-Top desktop software doesn't work properly, on my CEED I disabled it and just boot to the standard Raspbian desktop. The links ab...

Re: Vnc Connect to a headless Pi

I did "sudo apt update"/"sudo apt ugprade" on my Pi Zero W today, it's been running headless with VNC with no problems at all but after upgrading today it stopped working.

I had to do the solution above to get VNC working again - presumably something has updated and broken it - but its fine now.

Re: There is a big chunk of unallocated space after flashing Raspbian to SD card

In the old days, sounds like its probably changed now, one of the first things we were recommended to do after booting a newly flashed SD card was run the raspi-config program and use the option to expand the file system to use all of the card.

After reading the above I checked and my previous subscriptions were through Select Publishing, they notified me at the end of the subscription. I don't know when it changed to Raspberry Pi Press but no one told me!

Subscription ended with no reminder

I've been a subscriber for a few years and always got a note in with the last issue to say my subscription was about to expire. But not this time. I've been waiting for the January issue (#77) but it hasn't arrived so I emailed to find out why and was told that issue #76 was the last one. Just wonde...

Why would anyone want to pollute a Raspberry Pi with Microsoft's resource hungry OS any way?

OK so we cant' see new posts because of the lack of any searches - but that also means that new posts are probably going to be people asking what has already been answered because they can't search - so maybe we aren't missing much. Of course you can see new posts. The normal indicators are still s...

It looks like the search has been completely disabled. Which means, no menu to look for new posts. Which means (for me): forum not usable at the moment.

Re: Usuable for a basic media system?

So you're going to guilt your parents into lugging around a bag full of messy wires that won't do anything that their CELL PHONES won't do 100 times better? Probably like my parents, only have cellphones to make phone calls! Plus, have you seen the price of a cellphone that does all that these days?

Re: Move Pi home from SD card to a HDD (Given up)

I wish I could remember what I did. On my Pi2 I wanted to do the same thing, put the home folder on an external drive, I did that and got it working then realized I could put the whole OS on the external drive.

I have dump1090 on one Pi with an RTL-SDR dongle and an antenna from a radio scanner store. Works as well on the Pi as on a desktop computer.

Like someone else said, its good to know you are receiving the data yourself not downloading it from the internet.
