Re: Raspbian and rpi-config

I incorrectly wrote rpi-config instead of rpi-update in my second post. The rpi-update command is missing and there is no package to install it. I'm guessing its not needed as the firmware is now installed with an apt-get upgrade?

Re: Raspbian and rpi-config

I am not sure about the update option missing from the config I imagine it is still there by command line. I don't know if the reason to remove it from the gui is because of this thread or what. Thanks for your reply. I'm actually not referring to the config GUI. I tried to run sudo rpi-config from...

Raspbian and rpi-config

I was playing with my raspberry pi a bit over the summer, then I put it on the shelf for a couple months. I decided to break it out again this weekend for a project, so I started fresh with the newest Raspbian image. Two questions. I noticed the rpi-update package is no longer included. Is the firmw...

Just wanted to chime in and say it's fixed for me as well, just ran my first python prog on the pi, it's working nicely.

Re: Brewery

I'm all for using the Raspberry Pi in as many cool ways as possible, but in this instance it may not make sense to re-invent the wheel. Have you looked into the arduino powered Brewtroller: http://www.oscsys.com/projects/brewtroller/ it has already gone through several generations and been battle te...

Re: Geany Color Issues

I'm actually having this same issue with the new Wheezy Beta image, so maybe it's more of a general "Wheezy" thing? Could be, when I get a moment I'll install a minimal wheezy image in a vm directly from Debian and see if the issue is upstream. If it is, I'll report it. -kap Ok, so I checked out th...

Geany Color Issues

Is anyone else using geany on pisces? I installed it using the standard apt-get install geany (I made sure to refresh the package listing). It seems to work fine however the color scheme for the editor window is really broken. It uses teal and green and the font color for some syntax highlighting is...

Re: Interest in 2D game engine?

I wonder if the Pi needs its own specific 2D game engine? Using pyGame or something like cocos2d: http://cocos2d.org/ would probably be sufficient. I just saw this awesome article on 2D game programming here: http://higherorderfun.com/blog/2012/05/20/the-guide-to-implementing-2d-platformers/ I'm a m...
