Guys, I have a Panasonic TX-P42G20E -- is there any chance to use its remote with CEC on the RPi now or ever? I see some of you have success with other remotes that come with their own adapters, but AFAIK the RPi in theory is capable of CEC. Right now I'm using iPad-based remotes, or a wireless key...

You might try rolling back to 10870 - I also had stability issues with 10888, whereas 10870 is pretty damn solid (especially considering just how new this software is!).

If you're building in a VM, you can always then transfer the compiled files to your host OS (via a shared folder in VirtualBox) and then transfer to the SD card that way.
