Re: How to reset the camera?

Thank goodness that someone else has a similar problem. I cannot find an answer even though I've tried all I know (not a lot). If I try to use raspistill or raspivid I get this response. mml: mmal_component_create: failed to create 'uc.rll.camera.in four varieties and finally mml: camera is not dete...

Re: Non sychronous networking

Thank you very much Licaon_Kter I have done that and I'll let you know it's result. As for you, Bredman, I am not an accomplished Linux person and do not know what VNC stands for. Perhaps with your experience you might make your postings more fully informative. I knew what my goal was and used this ...

Re: Non sychronous networking

Have tried Midori and it will not connect to a saved site. Evolution does not find the email I've just sent and I can't get amsn to open. So closed the Win 7 putty window, rebooted raspberry and .. guess what? Yep! No midori, no amsn, no evolution. Seems that RPi does not like a change of IP. So ame...

Non sychronous networking

(1) I have a window on my Win 7 PC that shows RPi ip address using putty. I typed into this sudo su and changed the user to root. I then called a variety of directories to find my ladder game. The game of LED's is installed on the RPi and physically connected via GPIO. I the ran the file and the PRi...

Not user friendly

OK Peoples, I have had about enough of Raspberry and Linux to last me a lifetime. Which, i may add, is not going to be as long as some of you that write on this forum. No, not cryptic, just the fact that I’m old. Would anyone like to buy my Raspberry Pi? The reasons will become clear as this blog co...

Re: Running applications on startup

Gobbledygook, run - an unknown command; frustration - a game of never ending loops beginning with linux, going through debian and squeezed wheezily through a rasberry. I'm having a rant!!! I got my pi in June and my desk is littered with breadboards, resistors, trannies, leds and connecting wires th...

Re: The South Yorkshire Pi Group

I'm in Sutton on Trent and very interested. My RPI hasn't arrived yet - shouldn't be long now.
