Re: Does my camera trap look like a bomb?

Yes, thievery had occurred to me. I was going to hide it in the field near where we live. It has public access but mainly dog walkers. I'll have to see how well I can camouflage it and decide then.

Does my camera trap look like a bomb?

Hi Everyone So my daughter and I finished our camera trap project and I got it all put together yesterday. Sat down to admire our work then had a little moment of panic. What if we leave it somewhere and someone thinks it's a bomb. I mean it's a paint tin with led's some sort of sensor and wires. Si...

Re: pi zero sdcard reading problem

this is indeed frustrating.. what do your system logs say? note: even though your Zero won't boot, you can still pull the sdhc, and if it's readable, mount it on another system and read the logs willie on the stormy Gulf of Mexico I did not know I could do that and have already wiped the SD card fo...

You may need updated kernel/firmware to run the newer Zero.

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get -y dist-upgrade will get that.
Thank you for the reply. They are both new versions with the camera adapter.

Re: pi zero sdcard reading problem

1. Check your power supply is beefy enough. 2. Check your USB-A to microUSB cable isn't weedy (if it's not integrated into your power supply) 3. Buy branded MicroSD cards that are at least 8GB from a reputable source 4. Remember you've only got 512MB of RAM, don't over commit it 5. Look for storage...

pi zero sdcard reading problem

Hi peeps I have 2 pi zero 1.3s and the one which I have been using mostly has been playing up for a while. It would intermittently just lock up and no way to power down except unplug it, then would be problematic to boot again. It would refuse to boot unless left for a while then would seem OK. Toda...

Re: a little help for beginner with my code please

Thank you bensimmo, very helpful links. I have indeed just jumped in to the parent detector page and am now rewriting my code. I had been round a few places on the web but had not seen that one. I think I was definitely trying to over complicate things so I'm doing a complete start over. However I h...
