3 inch screen?

Sorry if this is a bit much, but has anyone seen a decently thin 3 inch screen that can connect to the Pi? I've only seen 3.5 inches so far.

Worst comes to worst, I could salvage a camera screen and try and interface to that, although I can't find any replacement screens.

Thanks!

Re: Minecraft server crashes and rebuilds map everytime

The Pi simply is not powerful enough to run a Minecraft server. While some people have got decent results, you are better off buying a old computer to host it on - one player online causes lag. Out of personal experience, gigabytes of RAM is needed for a decent server. The reason the Pi hangs is bec...

Re: Rusty Pi?

It's been sitting on my desk / in a box. It has never been exposed to water or humid air, and yet the ports are quite rusty. I have a new B+, the metal appears to be different than the B (v1).

Thanks for such an early reply.

Rusty Pi?

I have an old Pi B. It still works, but is very rusty on the metal ports! Has this happened to anyone else?

Re: Unable to boot - tried all that I know

Can I get some information about the SD cards? Are they class 4?

Also, have you tried updating the files inside the card? I believe that updates for a few pieces of it have been releases and include better card support.

Finally, have you tried it with different operating systems?

Enable the safe mode in the configuration settings, I haven't had this issue but had something remotely like it. Safe mode fixed it for me.

Re: RT5370 with hostapd - invalid/unknown driver 'nl80211'

I have the same issue and fixed it. Pretty much did the same as you did. Leaving the driver area blank usually fixes it, although now it will sometimes hang like it did for me. Generally no luck with the 5370 chip set with inbuilt drivers, I did find another set that works. Will post link if I can f...

Ralink RT5370 Issues

I'm having some major Ralink RT5370 chip issues. dmesg shows one line that catches my attention: Invalid RF chipset 0x3070 detected Then it ignores the dongle completely, and resumes boot. Although I have managed to fix this once by blacklisting the original drivers and using custom ones, it doesn't...

WLAN to Ethernet Bridge?

So here's my goal: I want to use the Pi to grab one extra ethernet port for downstairs.

Every time I try this, the ethernet randomly dies then doesn't work until a reboot.
I now have a freshly formatted Wheezy Card.

Is there any way to do this?

Serial is the only way.

Applying high voltage to GPIO sometimes kills the Pi, dunno the chances but maybe it was destiny that gave the Serial Pi ;)

Re: Pi wont boot

This can be caused by your SD card.
Class 4 cards work best with the Pi (anything higher is sometimes problematic).
By the way, changing the code for me stops my Pi from booting...?

If NOOBS doesn't work, BerryBoot is a good, lightweight alternative that allows you to write OS data to USB drives and boot from them too.

Re: How do I know if an SD is easy to corrupt ?

The following things increase SD corruption quickly: Cutting off power to Pi without properly shutting down, overclocking, writing data for fairly long periods of time, etc. Cutting off the Pi is a definite boost in corruption, even if it appears that the Pi isn't doing anything, not to mention dama...

Could you post what /dmesg does?
I might be useful if there is an Invalid ****/**** in there somewhere (**** is numbers).

I recently fixed mine. The fix that I used is generic and works for, I think, all RT dongles.

Pi Portable?

Recently, I've been interested in making a rPi media device, except portable. Although there are cheap RCA screens out there, they are mostly 240p, but I noticed that replacement iDevice displays are cheaper. Is there a way I could hook up a iPod Touch 4 / 5 LCD panel? If so, what do I need to run i...

PSP3000 screen as display?

Hey.

I recently came across loads of PSP3000 screens on eBay. Might get one to connect to my Pi - but how? I know you need to find out which pins do what, and so and so, but is there any quick way to connect it?

Thanks.
