Re: Remotely update Pi's from Master image?

Yea, Rsync is likely not going to work. We looked into PiNet, but we can't PXE boot off wifi and to go wired would be a MONSTROUS Project. Which is too bad, PiNet would have been pretty much perfect.

I am now looking into Ansible, or rolling my own APT server.

Remotely update Pi's from Master image?

Hello, I currently have 135 Raspberry Pi's deployed throughout our company. Almost all of them are setup identically, with the exception of one file. What I would like to do, is find a way that I can push updates to them all at once, from a master img that I maintain. This way we don't have to manua...

[Tutorial] Pi as a Windows Terminal Client

I work for a manufacturer of Styrofoam products. On our production floors it can be a very hostile environment for a full fledged PC, so we have always made heavy use of WYSE terminals and Terminal Servers. As you may know, WYSE terminals are not the cheapest things to buy, so when faced with the ne...

Re: Overscan left and right not working.

There does not seem to be a mode in that resolution. However, it shouldn't be too big of a deal. Once I have everything setup the way I want, it will launch everything from KODI anyway. But thank you!

Re: Overscan left and right not working.

According to the instructions, in order to be able to configure the touchscreen, which I have not done yet... Yes, I have to set the frame buffers. When I let Pi figure it out for itself, it wants to run at 1920x1080.. Which the screen WILL support, but the native resolution is 800x480. And at 1920,...

Ok, weird... It is only the desktop. When I launch KODI, it fills the screen properly.

Re: Overscan left and right not working.

It is connected via HDMI. This is the screen that I bought. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2DIN-IN-DASH-7-Samsung-HDMI-Touch-Screen-Monitor-KIT-USB-SD-Raspberry-Pi-/121482589365 I will try playing a video, but that won't be until later today, when I have it on an internet connection. Right now I am at work...

Overscan left and right not working.

Hey gang, I have a Pi3 running Raspbian. I recently purchased a 7" Touchscreen with a native resolution of 800x480. I went into /boot/config.txt and set my resolution to 800x480 but had black bars all the way around. So I uncommented DisableOverscan=1 and that fixed the top and bottom, but the sides...

Software Keyboard Wedge?

Hello, One of my projects what I am using the Pi3 and Raspbian for at work, requires a software Wedge. This is an application that captures data from serial/usb devices and converts it into keyboard strokes. In the windows world, we would use something like WinWedge. http://www.taltech.com/winwedge ...

Viewing Sharepoint on Pi 3

Hey gang, What would be the best way to be able to view sharepoint sites on our AD Domain with the Raspberry Pi 3? I had planned to install Windows 10 IOT on it, but so far it does not seen to install on the 3. I have tried several times and it always hangs upon first boot. My company currently uses...
