Re: Stereoscopic camera capture (for COMPUTE MODULE) - now implemented (2014).

@6by9, looks like stereoscopic support has been broken in the latest kernels update. If it take Buster image (Raspbian Buster with desktop, 2019-07-10, kernel 4.19.57 ), both raspistill and raspivid works with -3d option. I mean that after running these commands I have one stereoscopic image and one...

Re: Arducam cameras fitting Raspberry CSI-2 interface

What you cannot see in that frame is that there are some cables soldered between the two cameras. They connect the oscillators of both cameras and provide synchronization of frame capturing at the nanosecond level: Hi Hermann, We are looking for sync option too, and consider oscillators sync as the...

Jamesh, how can you estimate the possibility of realizing two these options in CM4 line, suggested by @mc_hof:

- CM4 Lite in SODIMM200, backward compatible to CM3(+) Lite

Re: Stereo camera with CM3 inside for OpenCV learners, drones and robotics

I just setup my crowdsupply stereopi. Using the included 8gb SD card and initially connected HDMI screen and keyboard, I booted my assembly without changing anything on the SD card "stereopi.conf". My assembly booted, I saw initial Linux text on screen and then nothing. But actually, I had an image...

I've been very much intrested with the stereopi, but was just curious, if the stereo camera requires any GPIO jumpers to be connected. Its a concern as i plan to attach a 3.5 inch touch display (something like this https://www.cytron.io/p-3.5-inches-tft-touch-screen-for-rpi-3?currency=MYR&gclid=Cj0...

As a disclaimer I work for eZuce but I'm not trying to sell you anything. You can export the video feeds directly from the RPi into a eZuce Vibe client and remove OBS all together, unless you just need obs for something. I used ffmpeg to do this with multiple video sources (including the desktop) o...

Nice.
What are usual frame rates for the depth map mode?
Or otherwise asked, what is the maximum resolution for a depth map updated 10fps?
Thanks
We didn't provide peak performance tests. When we finish batch production, we will go back to this experiment.

Re: Stereoscopic camera capture (for COMPUTE MODULE) - now implemented (2014).

@6by9, I have a question about fullscreen stereoscopic preview in raspivid and raspistill . By default with the stock Raspbian we can see broken preview only (images are partially overlapped, and also there are black fields on both sides). We solved this by modifying raspivid and changing MMAL_ENCOD...

We've updated our Raspbian image and want to share one of our experiments. One of our new features is the ability to livestream MPEG-TS. Re: Stereo camera with CM3 inside for OpenCV learners, drones and robotics

Two comments from me. 1) I jumped on this as soon as I saw it because I'm a stereo photographer from way back and thought this was going to be hardware-synchronised frame grabbing, especially for video - I was a little disappointed when I read that the cameras are shot sequentially with a 1ms delay...

That is a really nice piece of hardware. Khronos want to use the 3B+ as a OpenVX reference. A stereo version could be done on the CM dev but this one looks much better for robot and drone usage. For VR/AR research this is great for Universities etc. Wish you guys every success and hope we see it so...
