CPU of the PI is not strong enough for that.

2X20W seems low.
How can I order IQAUDIO products? Don't they have an online shop?

Raspberry Pi aodio kit

I'm looking for total solution audio kit for a Raspberry Pi model B.
I want it to have an amplifier which will power my 2X70W speakers, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, a case that looks good and an option to control it all from a smartphone. I prefer there will be one power supplier to power both amp and Pi.

Re: Airtame firmware for the RPi

Private beta is only for the ones who bought the beta device. We'll need to wait a month or two for official release.

Software is still in private beta stage. Airtame team told me that the Raspberry Pi firmware will be available at the time their product officially ships out.

Re: Airtame firmware for the RPi

I read on Facebook that the firmware for raspberry pi should be released around "March'ish".
Does anyone know if they still plan to release the firmware, and when will they do that? Will it be a beta version?
What about the desktop client? When will the desktop software be released?

Re: Airtame firmware for the RPi

Airtame supports linux, so it is possible with another raspberry pi or an airtame dongle. The problem is, like any other solution for wireless transcoding, that the CPU of the pi is to weak to transcode 1080p data or even much less for the second screen

Re: Airtame firmware for the RPi

Yes. They even used the PI at development, so there is a good chance that the firmware for the PI will be released first, according to Airtame maybe around March.

I really hope that the firmware for the PI will be released on March, and hopefully the desktop software will also be available by then.

Re: Airtame firmware for the RPi

Hi Attila,

Congratulations on your success, more than 1million $ and still going.
Keep us posted if you could spare the time.
My request is that your software will be available for download on the raspberrypi.org official download page.

Airtame firmware for the RPi

I've heard that Airtame will release a firmware for the Raspberry Pi on March. This will transform the Pi to a wireless HDMI client. This sounds very Exciting because I heard that the technoogy they are using is far more andvanced than Airplay, Chromecast, Miracast and others. I'm looking forward to...

Re: Price hike???

Pi price in US\UK\AU - 35$ or close
Pi price in smaller (poorer) countries - 20% higher or up (same distributors RS\Farnell)

Should be the other way around according to the foundation's vision (bring computing to small emerging countries).

Re: Price hike???

Maybe we can get an official response from someone from the Raspberry Pi foundation? The FAQ page still states that the price is 35$, I think this should be changed (truth in advertizing!) I also think the foundation should make distributors who sale sell the Pi for a higher price to detail on that ...

Re: Request: RK3066 Soc

That being so, seeing products like this sold in that price makes me hope we will see similar CPU power on the Raspberry Pi in the future.

This kind of power will enable to finally run a descent web browser.

Re: RS & Allied Update #5 (9th Nov)

I would like to say one positive thing about RS. They are the only supplier who sales the RPI for 35$! Plus they offer cheap 8$ express shipping worldwide. At the start their costumer service was poor but they improved. By mid December when they clear their backlog they will be the favorite supplier...

I don't think RS stole your money. I think whey are in a bit of a mess right now. Here is what happened in my case: My order was delayed for months, and only when I cancelled my order whey found out that my Pi was returned to sender. It was delivered to me 5 days after that. About a week later, some...
