Re: Gamegirl: the retro console done right

Well I been running lakka now for only a day on my pizero and I can say I am impressed. I didn't have much time invested in retropi so but what time I did it was obvious it has lost direction as its backend emulation station has basically been abandoned afterall retropie is just a front end. I think...

Re: Pi Zero driving unusual TFT display (768x128pixel)

Actually he is using the standard mame artwork directories, you can download all the art work, then when you change the game it looks up what art you have in a .xml I think then displays it. apparently it's fully automated as long as you have the art. I have replied to your pm and thrown another ide...

Re: Pi Zero driving unusual TFT display (768x128pixel)

Subscribed to this thread love weird things like this , here's a idea you know them marquees on the top of arcade machines , if you scaled a cab to the screen you have. It would be awesome mini video version of this http://youtu.be/DTg7XHteBTE We're could I find one of them screens is it a salvaged ...

Re: Gamecube on retropie

I know this may not be the answer you want but the wii can actually play gamecube games and has all the original pad and memory ports, and in it own right soft modded with just a sd card is a better emulation system that the raspberry pi, and it's probably cheaper £15-£20 In most 2nd hand stores and...

Re: Porting code to raspberry pi from source code? (Non code

Ahh ok the pi is my first Linux CPU , only code I have ever done was c# (c sharp) with unity 3d. I always assumed if the source code was avalible it's much easier to port something to a diffrent platform. I just really like the interface of that emu's front end also it runs solar pier with cd audio....

Porting code to raspberry pi from source code? (Non coder)

Please forgive me from the very start I am not sure how to describe my question properly. I would like to attempt to compile? Port? Somthing from source code as an exercise and to learn somthing with the pi. It may already have been ported it's Charles McDonald's megadrive gx emulator http://www.tec...

Re: Buying a premade emulation Box

N64 emulation isn't as advanced even on a pc it's quite a chore to run games. Best option is a pc (a hated system so not many people working on it) I suppose mario64 works good and mario kart on a pi Again dreamcast emulation isn't advanced even on a pc best option an actual dreamcast with vga mod a...

Re: Automotive Ecu is it possible ?

I never changed my objective , I just don't think I made my question clear enough.

Mechanical side is the easy bit I could make the system no problem , I just cannot make the brain so to speak. I will have to look into the options you gave me , thank you

Re: Automotive Ecu is it possible ?

I also think it's possible only intrested in air fuel mix as this would only ever see 150cc project, just want a clean burn. But in the same breath if the pi isn't up to the job can you point me in the right direction. as it somthing I like to work on as a mechanic this is the only part of a vehicle...

Re: Automotive Ecu is it possible ?

That is a very confusing answer. As I was under the impression that sensors can be purchased for the pi for robots etc do thease not react to the world in real time? An engine actually has a stroke value depending on rpm to make a complete cycle this takes a certain amount of time (lag in computer t...

Automotive Ecu is it possible ?

Is it possible to use a pi as a engine management sysytem? my aim would to use it on small capacity engines that are normally carburettor run for better fuel burn power and emissions. Or am I being silly?

Games made for the Raspberry pi (Not Emulated)

Are there any games that are made for the pi or ports? This forum section has a million posts on emulators but after 15 page deep search on this section I only noticed minecraft and doom. This is my first post so forgive me if I sound unfamiliar with the pi it's because i am. I only received my pi z...
