Re: How do I delete my account?

You can effectively delete the account by going to the User Control Panel, changing your password to something that you won't remember, and then changing the recovery email to an invalid email address that you do not have access to. Log out, delete all cookies and then you won't be able to log back ...

Re: Snarky non-responses to questions

For the amusement factor, and since we're talking Police/LIDAR/RADAR and Schrodinger: Heisenberg, Schrodinger and Ohm are in a car They get pulled over. Heisenberg is driving and the cop asks him "Do you know how fast you were going?" "No, but I know exactly where I am" Heisenberg replies. The cop s...

Re: Commercial Use of the Pi

PiZero's can be made in Sony, Japan and Embest as shown on the ones that have come out. But, given the tradition for new Pi models to sell out at launch, why is it taking so long to ramp up production on the Zero? The answer lies in the board’s unique position, Eben reveals. “This isn’t quite the s...

Re: What is this soldering aid called?

I just remember getting them in a start soldering iron fire stick kit. Couldn't figure out what the heck they were util I read the BOM that came with. (And finding out that if you left the iron on a joint too long and had that clamp pulling off the extra heat, it burned little fingers really really ...

Re: Kernel different to directory structure

The kernel and modules have been updated (most likely via apt-get) and the "old" modules have been deleted in the process, however the running kernel remains.

Reboot and load the new kernel to match the modules to the new kernel version and you should be all set.

Re: APACHE 2 DOES NOT START

That error means that there is no `apache2` service file.

Which OS are you running?
If Debian based, try

Code: Select all

apt-cache policy apache2

Does apache show in the list of unit-files for systemd?

/usr/bin/find <directory> -mindepth 1 -mtime 1 -delete
Google for what values go in the mtime, 1 = 24 hours and decimals work.

Re: Systemd installed and running but not as PID 1

Sure that code is right? Seems to me that you are always going to `echo "sysvinit"`. (You're saying IF pidof returns true then echo "sysvinit" else echo "other". `pidof /sbin/init` is always going to return 0 as it's exit value.) Edit: Try stat /sbin/init You may just find that its a link to /lib/sy...

Dude! Don't publish people personal information out like that just to try and shame them. I hope no one purchases you products if this the kind of response to expect from a complaint. Immature and unprofessional. Please delete the screen shot of a PayPal transaction, how on Earth is that justified?!?

So TLDR version of the thread:

OP: "Going to hit myself in the head with a hammer, anyone think that's a bad idea?"

General Consensus: "Very bad idea indeed."

OP: "Tricked you all, already hit myself, now you naysayers look like fools!" <- Posted from the A&E

Re: syntax representation (Unterminated quoted string)

Code: Select all

os.system(“sudo iwlist wlan0 scan | grep -i essid | awk -F\" '{ print $2 }' >> essid.txt”)
You only have one double quote. The opening and closing ones aren't proper quotes, they are double backtick quotes.
