Re: Powering the Pi and touchscreen

@Burngate Thanks for your help

So pin 2 & 6 are connected to the touchscreen, so I guess I can connect + to pin 1, and use a different ground, either pin 9 or 14 ????

Re: Powering the Pi and touchscreen

No, the best connection would be for me to go onto the GPIO, which is currently used by the screen connections.

All I was asking I guess was that can I double connect the power to the GPIO pins 1 & 6 or 2 & 6 to provide power for both the Pi and screen ????????

Powering gaming Raspberry Pi 3 and official Touchscreen

Hiya So I am running a Raspberry Pi 3, with an official 7" touchscreen, in a nice case that I got. Now I want to power it with a battery/phone charger. I have tested with a couple of the small chargers as below, but that gave me 1hr 43 min, and another about 2hours https://images-eu.ssl-images-amazo...

Re: Official 7" Touchscreen

Hi guys Think I just sorted it !!!! So to help anyone else out there that suffers from this I read the Downloads page on Raspberrypi.org, which mentioned to extract the img from the zip using 7-Zip, I did so, and burned it to the sd using etcher.io, and it booted into the gui desktop straight away !...

Re: Official 7" Touchscreen

So this just keeps getting stranger and stranger. I have now hooked up the pi to the main TV, which is 1920x1080 and works with 2 other raspberry pi's perfectly. I recreated the sd card from image, so its a brand new install. I am using an official raspberry pi psu. I have a keyboard and mouse plugg...

Re: Official 7" Touchscreen

@scotty101
That is not the case, it is definately going into X because the ssh/password change dialogue is graphical, and the cursor is following my finger on the touchscreen, it is not at the command line.

My lovely gf bought a new Pi3 and the official 7" touchscreen for christmas, what a gal !!!! I got it going with some guides I managed to find on the internet, the official link on the box didn't bring me to a dedicated webpage with how to configure it. No official manual in the box. Hiya, i have a Raspi Model B initial issue, running wheezy. I use it for MPD music. Re: MPD connection in car. Client won’t connect if phone dat

Hiya I am looking at doing this soon, but I have planned it in my head a different way. I am going to turn on my phone tethering, and set a permanent address on the Pi within the same range. My phone assigns out dhcp as a hotspot in the 192.168.43.X range (from memory), I tested this with my windows...

Re: Poss 2Play & Record Live TV? Wi-Fi Ability & Play TV Cat

Hiya XBMC is exactly what you are looking. I run XBMC on an ubuntu PC, and use the TVCatchup plugin, it gives you most of the UK freeview channels for Live TV as you requested, other plugins are available for internet streams and on demand TV, no dvb-t card required. But you may require an MPEG2 lic...

Hiya

I would have 2 or 3 of these off you if you can produce a kit.....one for a mini-itx board I have, and one for
a raspi.

Where in the world are you located ???

Whilst this is a great project, but £200 ???? Way too expensive when you see that all you get is a 12'ish inch high plastic shell, a circuit board, some cabling and servos .... IMHO I am not into robotics at all, but how much would the price of servo's of the sizes in rapiro be ??? I am also prepare...
