Just did a sudo apt-get etc install!

I didn't realise that the SD card was full...
Now when I try to login I just keep returning to the login screen.
Any way out of this or do I start again. I do have a larger card if I can get it working.

Re: Gphoto - Canon G9 Camera Capture

Soooo, after spending a long time.... this may be helpful to others.
I had to tell the camera to use manualmode first before setting the shutterspeed and aperture. Then everything ran perfectly.
Doh!

Re: Gphoto - Canon G9 Camera Capture

Yes it's a nice camera that I've had since 2008. I also have a couple of 5Ds that I use for real work. The G9 is in manual mode as I want to set both aperture and shutter speed! I found that I have to run this command for the G9 before it will accept input gphoto2 --set-config capture=on then I can ...

Gphoto - Canon G9 Camera Capture

Funny how you always find something else to do with a Raspberry! Anyhow using Gphoto I have hooked up my old G9 (PTP) camera to take some shots. Ultimately to control a slide projector as well. I have learnt how to kill the running process that hogs the USB port. I can list the camera properties. as...

Re: Python - Sainsoft USB 4 Relay Board

Ahhhh! From your post I understood that if I got the message "reported not TYPE-R when run" then I should "re-run sudo make install" which because I didn't get that message I didn't run. Its run, reboot and voila!!! I can change the relay state. THANK YOU so much Gordon77 for your patience and knowl...

Re: Python - Sainsoft USB 4 Relay Board

Thanks Gordon77 for the detailed answer. The Make ran perfectly without errors. "sudo crelay 1 on" gives me "command not found". Should I run this from a specific directory? the "ls" command on crelay gives me the following files/directories pi@raspberrypi ~/crelay $ ls conf HISTORY lib monit relays...

New Display Compatibility with Pface Digital 1 and 2

Has anyone used this combo in a project yet?
If it works then I need to buy some.

I bought a couple of things recently that are not compatible but ought to be and.... so better to ask first.

Interesting! Thanks for the feedback, obviously there are some major gaps in my Linux knowledge. Using this new knowledge I was able to identify the serial port. I've been using a Python controlled 8 relay board interfaced via a PiFace2 digital IO board successfully for some time now for house automation. The Piface owner website ( OpenLX SP) hasn't been updated since 2016 and every time I try to send an email to them over the last 3 days the site reports - We're doing some maintenance! This site will be back shortly, we're doing a bit of maintenance. Anyone know if they've disappeared for good? I ca...

Backplane like Piface Pirack for latest Pi3

I cannot trace anything like the old PiRack for the Pi3. Am I missing a trick in my searching or there is really no product available? To be clear I am not looking for an extender cable but the ability to use several boards on a backplane. I guess if an extender cable had several sockets that might ...
