Re: Cabrio front end - lets try to make it work

Ok, I figured out what I did that allowed it to run. On a clean raspbian image, I installed mesa-utils libgl1-mesa-dri That's what enabled glxinfo to give me output. Then I installed all the recommended packages for cabrio except for glut (lib or free) I modified the sound.c file as earlier in the t...

Re: Cabrio front end - lets try to make it work

Well, I got something. But at this point I don't know what I did to get me this far. I don't think it was messing with mesa that did it. I did install mesa-utils though so i could run glxinfo I was getting no output from glxinfo Could have been this sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install xserver-x...

Re: Cabrio front end - lets try to make it work

I'm curious. Barring someone looking at the code and porting it over, could we use a software opengl implementation like mesa?

If it runs, since it's just a front end, maybe the performance hit using software open gl wouldn't be as noticeable?

I think we may need to have someone with the graphics knowledge look at lines 22-57 of sdl_wrapper.c

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

Good luck getting the devs to help out with control issues, ive been trying to for weeks now. The prboom core routes the controls though the emulator. Dont try to remap them inside of the game. The dpad moves, L1/R1 strafes, L2/R2 changes weapons, select brings up the map, start pauses. Im not sure...

Re: Cabrio front end - lets try to make it work

I got it to compile on the latest Raspbian image without having to modify anything or add any additional repositories to apt. To get the pre-requesites, i ran: sudo apt-get install libsdl1.2-dev libsdl-image1.2-dev libsdl-gfx1.2-dev libsdl-mixer1.2-dev libsdl-ttf2.0-dev freeglut3-dev libxml++2.6-dev...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

I've installed using the RetroArch binary install and prboom's keyboard mapping is all kinds of screwed up, and no music. Any ideas?

Re: How to install/ build/ play Quake 3....

So this runs out of the user's directory? Is there any way to install it system wide like you would with the official instructions from id?

Re: RS & Allied Update #3 (27 Sep)

I'm confused on the "last order shipped" on the RS FAQ. They've all got trailing 000's and even without them, the order #s are still way too long.

Edit: wierd, I refreshed the page and it looks like it had duplicated the order numbers, i'm ok now

Re: Chromium browser build failure

Noob here, but I thought that's why Raspian exists, because debian-armhf in Wheezy doesn't support ARMv6 and why mpthompson setup a system to recompile all these packages with the support. Just speaking out my a** here, but you're trying to fix using mpthompson's sources which have been been filtere...
