I need to either prevent a student logging out, or when he does log out, log hin straight back in as the same user before it askes for a username and password. How would I do either?

I have an issue, that I think may be hard to solve. How can I prevent a user logging out without providing the root password? I have tried myself, but I think it may require something much more advanced. Thanks so much for your help.

Thanks. I have a few problems though. I have the standard user, pi, and I want that to be able to access startx, so I created a new user called test and logged in as that to run the commands. When I login, instead of getting test@raspberrypi~$ i just get $ and when using the commands i get 'test is ...

I have a rpi at school, and I need to disable the 'startx' command, so you need the root password to use it. Can anyone help me?

That looks a lot like the free, open source Punnet case (http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewt ... et#p118160). Please be sure that you are not selling freely available stuff.

When you say an LED showing power on - this is a separate LED from the one on the Pi itself? How are you setting that up, if I might be so nosy? Just booted up my RPi, with Debian installed, as the recommended install for beginners, as my Dad wants to use it, only to find that it does not appear to have a GUI! What install file should I use?

I am trying to install Fedora Remix onto a 4GB SanDisk Class 6 SD card, but it does not appear to appear on the installer. All I get is a selection HARDDRIVE1(4G). Is that it? Would Debian be any easier to install?

What happens when there is a battery cut? Switch over to AA's? You should speak to MI5. This security system looks more complex than ones in a bank!
