Android Things

Does Android Things work with the official display?

I can't test it yet but hoping someone else has.
The documentation talks about connecting a HDMI display so i'm not certain.

Re: CAN on Win 10 IoT

Just wanted to add a +1 for this.
A driver for the PiCan2 board would be very useful!

The whats news page for the anniversary edition specifically mentions the Pi3 support.

Re: CAN controller

Is it possible to power the PI3 from a PiCAN2 SMPS?

I'm assuming not since it only outputs 1amp, but just wanted confirmation since it claims to be ok for Pi 2.

Re: Delete WinIOT partition from SD Card

I tried both before, Formatter and DISKPART (Windows10) only list the partion with the rest of available space. The partition of the Win10 IOT is completely invisible to these tools. No chance to delete, I've wipe a bunch of cards with SD Formatter (including IOT ones) and it has always worked. You...

Re: Delete WinIOT partition from SD Card

I use SD Formatter:
https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/

It can wipe out all the partitions on a card and resize it back to full size if needed.

7" LCD backlight

Anyone know if it's possible to control the Pi 7" screen backlight from a Windows app?

On Linux you write to a specific file, on Windows I guess it would require support in the display driver?

It's working fine on my Pi3 with the official display.
Correct resolution and touch works.

Re: Bluez5 and HFP

I've sort of got HFP working by installing Pulseaudio 7 from Jessie-backports. The Pulseaudio included normally doesn't have HFP support (it started in v6). I used these instructions: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=757731#10 The other part was I had to disable the onboard Bluetoot...
