Has anyone tried doing this with the pure python interface? And could you do it so that the pi is a wifi access point so that to view the stream you just connect to its wifi and open up the webpage? Anyone tried this???? It works normally in the putty interface but it does not work in a python file...

Guys i have another problem. I automounted a USB flash drive on my rpi and created some videos on it using picam. I unmounted the flash and inserted it onto my windows PC but it could not read those files (i'm guesssing that it has to do with files permission ish) pls how do i make the USB flash dri...

Thanks man @pcmanbob it was the PIR sensor that was faulty, i replaced it and it worked .

PIR sensor always high

I have a pi3 and i connected a PIR sensor directly to the GPIO pins using the BCM numbering pin 7 as the input pin. The problem is that the pir output is always high even when there is no motion detected. Though i have read a lot of stuffs online saying something about a pull up and pull down resist...

Guys pls in using the raspivid command, how do i make it save the video to a predefined path. Whats the correct code for that, i have been searching google but it seems a lot of pple rather save in the directory in which they run their code but in my case i want to save the video to an external USB ...

Now i have enabled picam from sudo raspi-config And i have used raspistill -o image.jpg to test my cam to take an image, i guess it worked bcos immediately i pressed enter... I saw a red led light up in the cam for few seconds, though it never showed a preview probably bcos i am using ssh or whateve...
