Re: RPF Chromium Browser "sign into chromium" not working

I'm wondering if this is an upstream issue with Chromium. My Debian box also displays this issue with the latest Chromium, yet Chrome on said box is fine.

Re: Guide: Chromium 51 on Raspbian Jessie

I found I get a system freeze when the swapfile maxes out, needing a power cycle to get the Pi back up.
I increased the swapfile size and regularly stop/start the swapfile when needed (running top in a terminal to monitor it)

Re: Guide: Chromium 51 on Raspbian Jessie

Understandable, kusti8.
Thank you for your work on this project, it made my Pi experience on the 'net much better.
I'll uninstall your Chromium and try the official one, then see if the sync issue is resolved.

Re: Guide: Chromium 51 on Raspbian Jessie

With a version of Chromium being added to the official distro, what will happen to your Chromium project? I haven't added the 'official' Chromium but I notice on screenshots that the 'official' version has a blue topbar inherited from the new Pixel desktop. I'm also getting the sync failure triangle...

Top in terminal doesn't even register the attempt at launching Chromium.

I'm getting the same behaviour. It was working, now it doesn't even register as a running/launching process.
Re-install didn't help.

Re: BETA: Chromium v51 on ARMv6 w/ HW video acceleration

Thanks kusti8! Works great for me, once I disabled the RPi-youtube and YouTube Centre Developer Build which I had been using. I do get a warning when I launch, using unsupported command-line flag: -- no-sandbox, which I don't remember enabling nor can I find where to change. Great job, 720p plays sm...

Re: Netflix on Pi 2

Probably due to my use of boilerplate, I still get the 'Install Silverlight' message (I did get a variant of the M7121-1331-P5 message at one point, C7121-1331-P5)

Probably placebo effect, seems snappy :P (posting from v51)
Hoping the lock up issues I was having have been banished.
Thanks

Thanks kusti8,
the apt-get install chromium-browser reinstalled chromium, v51 due to the addition of dev to the /etc/apt/sources.list
testing now :D

Re: Guide: Chromium 50 on Raspbian Jessie

kusti8,

For some reason the last apt-get update/apt-get dist-upgrade removed chromium 50.
Could you clarify what you mean by add dev to the /etc/apt/sources.list so I can dl the v51 beta?

Re: Moonlight Embedded

Argh! How can I troubleshoot my moonlight install? It was working and now isn't. Could an update have borked things? Running Moonlight 2.2.0, RPi 3b with Jessie updated to latest version with 4.4.13-v7+ kernel, my Win 10 box has Nvidia Experience 2.11.4.0. When I launch moonlight, I get Connect to x...

snap - new universal linux packaging

This sounds interesting. Not a replacement for package managers but better cross distro program distribution http://arstechnica.co.uk/information-technology/2016/06/ubuntu-snap-apps-are-coming-to-distros-everywhere-bye-apt-yum/ http://snapcraft.io/ Seems to imply processor architecture will be less ...

Re: Interesting interview with Chris Curry

Very cool.

Ah, I remember spending an entire day with a friend typing assembly code from a magazine into a ZX-81 to play a version of Scramble. It ran for about five seconds before crashing and the dodgy memory extension connection on the ZX-81 wiping our days work out.

Re: SD card slot overclock

The guy who seemed to be the overclocking king on this forum(since I joined anyway) got banned. Search for Rive on this forum for his clocks and tests to check said clocks. There is no specific safe overclock , each RPi3 is slightly different. Moving your system to somewhere other than the SD card, ...

Re: SD card slot overclock

In Raspbian in the Terminal type sudo nano /boot/config.txt add dtparam=sd_overclock=100 to your /boot/config.txt There are instructions for controlling the nano text editor at the bottom of the Terminal window ( ^ means Control) Then there is overclocking, which really needs extra cooling ie heatsi...
