streaming RPI camera video to Dlna client in smart TV

Hi, I have been searching the forums for some time now, and have not found any pertinent info yet. Problem:- I have a RPI (and camera) mounted under the roof eaves, connected via ethernet. I would like to view the video stream on a HD smart TV that has a ethernet connection and ONLY an inbuilt DLNA ...

MPU9150 instead of MPU6050

Hi The newer 9DOF sensor, MPU9150 is now available on a breakout board, at a reasonable price. Has anyone got the MPU9150 working with the PI yet? Looking at the post "Yet more Mpu6050 demo code" by RGH, Richard says:- To get it working on the Pi I took the I2C and MPU6050 code from https://github.c...

Re: Official raspbian distribution -- SPI devices?

Hi, Thanks for the new build. I have installed it and I now have spidev's in /dev. Unfortunately, there will be a hiatus, I had a huge outpouring of the "Magic Smoke" from my GLCD module and PIC interface board.I plugged a 12V PS into the card instead of a 5V one, (same jack) By a bit of luck...

Re: Bug reporting in Raspbian

Hi, The number and rate of replies in the Raspbian forum are swamping any problems raised here. The chances of even noticing a bug type problem post are very small. It is time for Raspbian to get a bit more formal. Why not put a sticky at the top of the forum, asking for bugs to be entered by raisin...

Re: i2c and spi

Hi, It should do, but there is a screw up with the SPI driver. The kernel should contain a module spidev, but it was never compiled. On the other hand the i2c driver and devices are there. Read my post http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=11617 which describes how to get the driver...

Re: Official raspbian distribution -- SPI devices?

You need to load the 'spidev' module to get userspace spi device access, in the same way the i2c-dev module provides userspace i2c access.

Try "modprobe spidev".
I would if I could, but there is NO spidev.ko (AFAIK)

Re: Official raspbian distribution -- SPI devices?

Hi Googling around the net revealed another location for the SPI devices:- On my Pi:- root@raspberrypi:/# find /sys/bus | grep spi /sys/bus/platform/devices/bcm2708_spi.0 /sys/bus/platform/drivers/bcm2708_spi /sys/bus/platform/drivers/bcm2708_spi/bcm2708_spi.0 /sys/bus/platform/drivers/bcm2708_spi/m...

Official raspbian distribution -- SPI devices?

Hi, I am having problems with creating spi devices. (I wish to drive an SPI GLCD). From Chris Boot's blog:- 3. Using SPI or I2C The kernel above includes my SPI and I2C drivers for Raspberry Pi. The SPI driver exposes two device files (/dev/spidev-0.0 and /dev/spidev-0.1), one for each cable select ...

Re: Shame on you eBay sellers!

Nobody HAS to buy a Raspberry Pi from Ebay, at an inflated price.

So if they are so childish they have to have their new toy instantly, and cannot wait a little while, then they deserve to be ripped off.

Caveat Emptor
