Prevent services to start?

I'm trying to prevent transmission-daemon to start on boot, because I don´t use too much, and I prefer to start it manually when needed.

I tried with

Code: Select all

sudo update-rc.d transmission-daemon remove
but the service is active again after reboot... How can I do this on raspbian jessie?

I notice there is a difference between rpi and pc video quality, I can see the artifacts and pixelation on dark zones of the screen while I am playing an HD video with kodi on my rpi 3... but the same video with kodi too on my PC haven´t this problem. With only one tab works better, but even youtube videos don´t play smoothly ... and at full screen, one tab, a youtube video stops and continues every 2 or 3 seconds. I have no problems to play HD videos locally or online by streaming with kodi in my rpi3, so I think there must be a problem with the...

yes, but the question is, at the first boot, will jessie expand to all sd card size, or it will respect any existing partition?

I will try now, maybe if I create two formated primary partitions jessie will expand only until the limit of the second partition...

nothing changes after plug it in.... lsusb don´t add a line for this device. I am not sure if it will need a powered usb hub for detect (I don´t think it, because I can move an external HD directly plugged to the RPI3 usb port) or if not usb devices are detected after plug in.... I have a Lilliput 7" 619GL touchscreen, but my RPI3 don´t detect when I plug it by usb.

Lsusb command don´t show nothing new after plug in it, but the touchscreen is working fine on windows pc, so the problem isn´t the screen...

Any idea how can I do?

I said it work too fast ;) ... it worked, buy only writting the command directly on RPI. If I connect remotely to the RPI with putty then without sudo I can´t get the permissions to load, and with sudo, the old desktop is loaded...
