Re: PoE HAT - USB Ports not working - over-current

A quick google search brings this thread to number 1 position. I don't consider that "too hard". A quick search “once you know there is a problem” and this thread is easy to find. But none of the official selling sites that stock it have any metion they just say “out of stock”. Which may lead you t...

Re: PoE HAT - USB Ports not working - over-current

I have to agree with Ewan, this information is not widely known at all. I was ready to pick pay almost 3 times the regular price because they were ‘out of stock’ at all the normal places. If these said “product recalled” or “sales halted due to issues” I would have discovered this much sooner. Or th...

Re: Touchscreen Works in Raspian but not in Kodi, mouse work

I'm still battling with this but I am now 99% there, I just need to tweak it! I followed the manual instructions, on this page - http://markamc.traki-iski.co.uk/raspberry-pixbian-egalax-touchscreen/ And have successfully installed "ts_lib", run the screen calibration utility and then installed "uima...

Thank you for the hard work, previous version was perfect.
Not much use to you I realise but mine is working just fine, on my Pi3. :D

Re: Mounting an SMB share at boot not working

By not including "noauto" you will get a failed mount error in the log every time it boots, since fstab will try to automount it and fail, even though systemd will be mounting it later. But you can ignore the failed mount message, and you can still use a "sudo mount -a" command. Thanks for the extr...

Re: Mounting an SMB share at boot not working

Assuming you're running Raspbian Jessie... Try adding noauto,x-systemd.automount to the options. AIUI it delays mounting until it is accessed. For more info on this search the forum for these options Thanks DirkS, that looks to have done the trick I simply added x-systemd.automount to the line in f...

On Screen Keyboard for Touchscreen

Ok so I have a touchscreen which is working great, I'm looking to implement a good on screen keyboard. I've looked at 'matchbox-keyboard' and it seems to work ok, after I added this to ~/.config/lxpanel/LXDE-pi/panels/panel Button { id=/usr/share/applications/inputmethods/matchbox-keyboard.desktop }...

Mounting an SMB share at boot not working

So I have looked at a few guides at the following URL's: http://geeks.noeit.com/mount-an-smb-network-drive-on-raspberry-pi/ https://rasspberrypi.wordpress.com/2012/09/04/mounting-and-automounting-windows-shares-on-raspberry-pi/ I have added it to /etc/fstab and also made a credentials file. Works fi...

Re: Analogue audio testing

Use the version from sudo rpi-update 1e84c2891c1853a3628aed59c06de0315d13c4f1 until a fix is pushed. Excellent that has done the trick and Audio now seems a million times better than it was before. I simply added a ferrite choke to the psu USB lead and changed the driver. Having other issues with t...

Re: Analogue audio testing

I've been doing some testing this afternoon with my rPi 3 but I think I have the version with the bug as I get garbage out of one channel, and a whistle on top of sound coming from the other. So I will await a fix for the noise and then re-run my tests.

Kind Regards

This sounds like just the medicine for my rPi 3. How can I tell which version I am on? Re: easy interface

If you are new to the Pi I would suggest plugging in a keyboard, mouse and monitor and configure it directly, you can then see it booting and any related errors without having to go digging in the logs. I recently set up a touch screen on mine (which incidentally uses and HDMI to VGA adapter for the...

Re: Touchscreen Works in Raspian but not in Kodi, mouse work

First, you have to configure your Touchscreen LCD to work properly in Raspbian. Most need to be calibrated to work properly. After this, you have to setup Kodi properly also on Raspbian. See the complete instructions here, for my Kodi version, it has all the necessary permissions needed for that to...

[SOLVED] ELO Touchscreen on an rPi 3 enable right click?

Solved this, not sure if I maybe had a typo the first time I tried this but eventually got it working by adding the "MatchProduct" option and a keyword identifying my Touchscreen. Plasma: addding hdmi_blanking=1 to /boot/config.txt should fix the issue. Unfortunately this keeps some applications (gstreamer1.0 based) from working and may even crash the system. This I still a problem for me, I know this thread is old but surely this should have been fixed by now?

I'm running an rPi 3 with the latest Jessie release, screen goes blank, but the screen is still awake. I too would like to save energy, with a Windows PC the screen sleeps properly.
