Re: Kodi 15 Packages for Raspbian Wheezy & Jessie for RPi2

FYI, popcornmix has solved my problem with DTS passthrough on S/PDIF connection. Apparently the root cause was that my tv doesn't officially support DTS passthrough but with previous firmwares it was still working when the streams were not explicitly flagged as compressed. If you have similar confi...

Re: Kodi 15 Packages for Raspbian Wheezy & Jessie for RPi2

@stickperson If you install the stock Raspbian Kodi or Pipplware 16 Kodi you can get the autostart working without any additional hassle (all the required scripts & user account creation are in the debian packages). Just edit /etc/default/kodi and set your system to boot into console with raspi-conf...

Re: Kodi 15 Packages for Raspbian Wheezy & Jessie for RPi2

Hi, here are my tests. The outputs are identical for both kernels. Maybe the fact that vcgencmd shows hdmi_stream_channels=1 in both cases could be some kind of clue (I'll post this info in the github as well). So hdmi_stream_channels was 1 always when the file was playing and 0 when it was stopped....

Re: Kodi 15 Packages for Raspbian Wheezy & Jessie for RPi2

My connection is Pi -> HDMI -> Sony TV -> Optical -> Sony Receiver -> Speakers. I just re-tested this with your Kodi 16.0 Jarvis packages before posting my previous reply and it is still broken with the latest Raspbian kernel. In Kodi configuration I have enabled HDMI passthrough, AC3 and DTS, other...

Re: Kodi 15 Packages for Raspbian Wheezy & Jessie for RPi2

Hmm... my case really isn't related to VDR since I'm not using it at all (and I'm assuming we are talking about the Video Disk Recorder software here). Just the standard up-to-date Raspbian + Kodi. Currently the last working kernel for me is 4.1.17-v7+ #838. When I upgrade the packages to the latest...

Re: Kodi 15 Packages for Raspbian Wheezy & Jessie for RPi2

Hi, I'll just drop this in here in case anyone else has the same problem. Upgrading libraspberry* and raspberrypi-bootloader packages from 1.20160209-1 to 1.20160225-1 broke DTS passthrough via HDMI for me in Kodi. I confirmed the issue by downgrading the packages to previous versions and everything...
