Program Driver for alternative DSI screen

Hi forum, Vecna is working on a large educational project where we need a touch screen with certain requirements that can't be met with the official 7"screen. We would like to take advantage of the DSI interface and are willing to build or pay for the development of the driver and then donate it bac...

Re: DPI+dualcameras+i2s+i2c

I was trying to move camera 1 to use the same gpio pins for i2c port 0 as camera 0. Since it is the same i2c bus I reasoned I should be able to use the same physical pins. I edited the device tree to set the sda and scl pins for camera 1 to the same pins as camera 0. Compiled. Rebooted. Camera 0 wor...

DPI+dualcameras+i2s+i2c

I am trying to get a CM3 configured for a 24 bit DPI screen, dual cameras, i2s, and an i2c connection. I am having a hard time finding information on how to move devices around on different pins and getting them to work. I have gotten all of them to work by themselves, but for example I need to move...

rotate the screen without a reboot

Would it be possible for someone to write some nifty code that rotated the screen (lcd and touch) without requiring a reboot? That would be super helpful.

Re: Much larger DSI display wanted

+1 on a 10.1" raspberry pi official display. Is anything like that in the works? Related question: What are the practical benefits of using the DSI display over an HDMI display? e.g. Does HDMI consume more CPU cycles, power, cost, etc? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Kudos to the RPI team...

More than 2 SPI slaves on RPI3

I have searched for a couple of hours to find some clear guidance on this, but perhaps my search foo is poor. Hopefully this question is addressed elsewhere and I just haven't been able to find it. So, I would like to interface several SPI devices with my RPI3. I have found many posts indicating tha...
