Re: Trouble with decoding RAW output (from debayered pi cam)

Many thanks 6by9, it's all working well :D

It took me a whole day to realise that by running:

Code: Select all

dcraw -v -rawtest
rather than

Code: Select all

./dcraw -v -rawtest

I was using the previously installed version, not the new one *Head-desk*

Re: Trouble with decoding RAW output (from debayered pi cam)

Thanks 6by9, I'll test it this evening. PiGraham, DCRaw can be set to convert from a raw file into a greyscale tiff without applying any debayering filters, which is what i am after. I hadn't thought to try ImageJ, though a very quick look suggested using a plugin called "dcraw " to open raw images,...

Re: Edimax EW-7811UTC WIFIAC NOT WORKING

MrE First of all thanks for your work on the install script that identifies and downloads the correct driver, it has worked well for me on a couple of pis. I do however now have a problem on a Pi3B after installing the drivers. I had previously set the internal WiFi (wlan0) up into AP mode according...

Hi 6by9,
Did you get a chance to look into this?

I've still had no luck with any picture I've taken :(

Re: Trouble with decoding RAW output (from debayered pi cam)

I've tried again using no flags for the width and height so the jpg portion should be the full size and it still comes out jumbled from dcraw I've uploaded 2 files: the original taken with 240*180 resolution https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4FGrRY4ckV3NlozVEc3czl2elk and raspistill -n -r -o noirte...

Re: Trouble with decoding RAW output (from debayered pi cam)

Ah, I didn't know that the Pi Camera code had changed... I was using version 9.21 which I got through sudo apt-get install dcraw Thanks for the link to your version, New problem: I think dcraw might be reading the jpg encoded portion of the file and not the raw data?? Or at least that's what seems t...

Trouble with decoding RAW output (from debayered pi cam)

I have recently removed the bayer filter layer from a pi camera and am now trying to access the image data before it is processed through the traditional route (debayered, interpolated, compressed to jpg) as that would limit the benefits of having a modified sensor. I am however struggling to get the ...

Re: New Zero camera connector

I'm not looking to reduce the cost, I am looking for a short cable ~4-5cm (and I know there are other people who want shorter/longer cables than the single size currently available) As the cables are custom made, the only way for different lengths of cables to exist is for someone to make them. Unle...

Re: New Zero camera connector

I'd like to look into how much it'd cost to get some shorter and longer cables produced to link the Zero and Camera module The original cable is ~0.15mm thick and ~0.32mm at the connector on the 15pin camera board connector. From photos of the new cable, it looks like the 22 pin FPC Connector is a b...

Hardware HDMI issue after connection to faulty PSU

Hi, A few months ago I connected my pi 2B to a faulty power supply, it received just over 6V onto the GPIO for a few hours. The pi has since continued to work for me in some areas; the USB and Ethernet work fine as does general use of the pi via remote desktop/ssh. The HDMI port sometimes causes pro...
