Raspberry Pi now available from DX.com

I just noticed that the Rpi is now available from Deal Extreme for US$ 55.70 including shipping: http://dx.com/p/raspberry-pi-project-board-...

Curious to know if this is a 'legal' version of the Raspberry.

Re: SqueezePlug for Raspberry Pi ready for download

I seem to have 2 'issues': 1. During boot I see a Failed! message: Starting advanced IEEE 802.11 management: hostSegmentation fault 2. I can't install minidlna. When I start the install, I see a very short 404 error but I couldn't see the complete message because it returns to the setup immediately....

Re: Raspicar wireless media server project.

I followed all the steps and I can connect with my Android phone to Raspicar. However, I can't see any files on the mounted USB drive (which is called Mediadrive as in your steps) When I use File Manager to go to /mnt/Mediadrive, I get an error: Error opening directory '/mnt/Mediadrive': Permission ...

Powering your Rpi from a lipo battery

I am a radio control airplane modeller and today I saw this device posted on one of my favorite hobbyshops: USB Charging Adapter http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/catalog/22320-3.jpg With this charget you can use a 3 cell lipo battery (of any capacity) to charge mobile phones or any other device ...

Re: Porting Android

Have you plugged it directly into the Pi or in a powered usb hub? The first option could (will) cause a too high current draw from your Pi.

Re: Bulding XBMC for Raspberry Pi

It seems that both mouse and keyboard don't work in XBMC, but do work in the 'startx' gui.

I am a noob with Linux (and pretty new to xbmc). Is there any settings or config file that I should edit?

I see that miniDLNA has been mentioned, it is not quite clear to me what this is/does.

Am I correct in assuming that miniDLNA on a RaspberryPi COULD (could as in: if it works) make my non DLNA capable tv into a DLNA capable tv?

Re: Keyboard/Mouse less Media Center using IR Remote

Anyone thinks Boxee can work with the Raspberry Pi?

I am using DVBLink Connect with a Server and a Client. Since a few days it can work with Boxee. If the 100MBps ethernet is fast enough, it would be great to use a Raspberry Pi as a client.

Re: Mono project

That is great, thank you.

I don't necessarily need to have Mono on the Raspberry Pi, but if I can compile a project on my Windows PC or a Linux box and target it to an ARM compatible program that works on Raspberry Pi, then I am happy camper.
