But I have this problem since I updated to latest version of kernel. Strange, however, I will try to find this startup script.

Screen resolution automatically changing

Today I updated my RPi4 Buster to latest version. It is amazing how Kernel update can deliver some very nice bugs. This time I change screen resolution to 1920x1080 with lxrandr, save changes. When I reboot I will still have wanted resolution but in a few seconds something will trigger revert to hig...

Re: Kodi is broken on raspbian buster

What file do I need to edit so that when I do a SUDO APT-GET UPDATE/UPGRADE, I will get Raspbian STRETCH? I plan to install kodi LEIA, then move back to BUSTER. Will this work and how do I keep kodi from updating after the install? You don't need to do that and it will not probably work. Please rea...

Installed this and it's dependencies but every-time I start Kodi up, it exits to cli and then I see the Kodi screen. once I exit Kodi, it's back to the desktop.

Is this normal?

Re: Kodi 18.3 Leia for Raspberry Pi 4

Kodi use 30-50% idle for one CPU core on main window GUI. While playing video it is okay = no extra % on top of the normal video playback load. I tried with different skins and Estuary has little bit lower CPU ~30% with added <smartredraw>true< to advancedsettings.xml CPU lowers to 4-19% but this s...

Re: Kodi is broken on raspbian buster

To install Kodi on Buster you'll need to uninstall the current version (if you have it installed) and use the pipplware repository for the time being. sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list deb http://pipplware.pplware.pt/pipplware/dists/buster/main/binary / wget -O - http://pipplware.pplware.pt/pipplware...

Re: Dispmanx VNC Server

It is not that it deosn't work at all. It just doesn't work on higher resolutions. Downsampling and option to specify resolution in config (what is possible with realvnc) would solve the problem.

I will do some testing and provide you with error.

Re: Kodi 18.3 Leia for Raspberry Pi 4

I found an interesting bug. I can't scan my library, kodi just freezes up and stops working. I also can't get the last picture that kodi showed away, even if I kill kodi via cmd line from another machine. Only a hard reset helps. Here a log I managed to get yesterday kodi_crashlog-20190803_033200.7...

Re: Kodi 18.3 Leia for Raspberry Pi 4

It would be nice to get it included in the official repo, but the way the vt switching is currently done is a bit hacky. I did write a small app to switch vts in a more proper way, but it is causing Kodi to become very slow for some reason. It is not just very slow, it is as well slow on exiting wh...

Re: Kodi 18.3 Leia for Raspberry Pi 4

Hi, I used your advice about setting Display refresh rate to 'on start/stop' and set up the highest resolution in Kodi to 4096 x 2160. Re: Dispmanx VNC Server

One question, now that I am using higher resolution (4096 x 2160) in Kodi, dispmanx is not working. Can I specify resolution in config file as a parameter or "vnc-params" parameter? I know I can specify hdmi resolution in /boot/config.txt file but I don't want to do that, because I want to have spec...
