Re: Python 3.5 and 3.4 tkinter issue

Hello MrYsLab, thanks for your information. As I'm not a informatician but a user who adapt existing codes or use graphical tools like LabVIEW it's not so obvious for me, if applications aren't set the way I can use them directly...however I can learn ;-) I will take a look to the virtual environmen...

Re: Python 3.5 and 3.4 tkinter issue

Hello, thanks for this information. If I do the search for Python 3 it goes into the default 3.5 directory. python3 -c "import sys; print('\n'.join(sys.path))" which gives me these lines: |usr/lib/python35.zip /usr/lib/python3.5 /usr/lib/python3.5/plat-arm-linux-gnueabihf /usr/lib/python3.5/lib-dynl...

Python 3.5 and 3.4 tkinter issue

Hello, I have an encrypted python script (compiled from the LabVIEW compiler), that runs only on python 3.4 with a special package (pyVI) for the compiled and encrypted python script (not very open source btw.). Now I try to get it running on a new Raspberry Pi3B+ with Raspbian Stretch. On Stretch t...

Re: Sync Time from Internet

just a short feedback. I have still no reply from our admin, but I was able to apply the following commands as Dougie suggested on another Pi in a different network (but it's a model 3B with Jessie, the internal clock was a few days behind todays date and time): sudo systemctl stop ntp sudo ntpd -q ...

Re: Sync Time from Internet

maybe another important detail:

sudo systemctl enable ntp
results in the following message:

Code: Select all

ntp.service is not a native service, redirecting to systemd-sysv-install.
Executing: /lib/systemd/systemd-sysv-install enable ntp
after I executed the redirected command line, I get no error message.

Hello Dougie, thanks for your reply! Yes I did this also before I wrote my first post in this thread. I repeat the commands again. But as soon as I enter "sudo ntpd -q -g" I get this: 7 Jan 14:53:07 ntpd[901]: ntpd 4.2.8p10@1.3728-o Sat Mar 10 18:03:33 UTC 2018 (1): Starting 7 Jan 14:53:07 ntpd[901]...

Re: Sync Time from Internet

Hello again, I observed now something strange. I set the system time and date manually close to the real time (given by German PTB atom clock: https://uhr.ptb.de). You can check the deviation of your local system clock to the PTB reference clock by clicking on "Abweichung". However, I discovered, th...

Re: Sync Time from Internet

Hello, I installed the latest stretch version without being connected to the internet. After everything was set, I connected to the internet and did a reboot. Since then I can't synchronise the clock with an ntp server, probably because it's to far away from the correct date. How do I force to synch...

H, I have a similar issue as soon as I modify the "wpa_supplicant.conf" file which comes with a fresh raspbian Stretch on a new SD card in a new Pi 3B+ with adding a specific network, e.g. crtl_interface=DIR=/var/run/wpa_supplicant GROUP= netdev update=1 country=LU network { ssid = "eduroam" identit...

Good morning Gert, thank you for the reply! Gertbot connect relay to digital input and read state (open, close)

Hello, maybe my issue is too simple that I can't find any example for it or I'm blind?. I would like to connect a closing relay to a digital input channel of the Gertbot and read the state (open or closed). I found already in the manual, that I need to set one of the unused pins of J3 as input, but ...

ahhh...OK mixed something up.
