Re: LCD - HMDI - LVDS to build a complete system

I'll try to meet with my friend either today or tomorrow and explain him your answer. I would redirect him to the thread but he might not understand you or he might be unable to post a reply, since his knowledge of english is not that advance. I'll also take high resolution pictures of the cables an...

Thank you very much for your help... We will check again all connections, but you can bet we already put a lot of effort on properly connecting the LCDs/Converters/RPi. 1st screen through Ebay: 8.9"CHIMEI N089L6-L02 LED Screen Panel Module DVI Controller Board Audio1024x600 (njytouch) - It included ...

Re: LCD - HMDI - LVDS to build a complete system

I thought I had replied your question. 1st Screen: it suddenly stopped working, I was testing several settings on resolutions and such and it stopped working all together, it would not turn on anymore. 2nd Screen: The backlight was Dead on Arrival, everything else seemed 'OK'. The problem is that I ...

LCD - HMDI - LVDS to build a complete system

I've been working our a project for my Raspberry PI. Actually it was almost completed, but I have ran into issues with the LCD screen. Basically, I designed an all-in-one, this included a case designed in autocad, 3d printing, Battery, amplifier for the sounds, a few circuits to put it all together ...

Custom Rapbian Image or SD Backup

Is there a way to backup my current SD card so I can restore it later? I have done a fair bit of configuration on my SD card and I would like to just save it on my desktop computer and restore it in case I mess up something. I actually have 3 SD cards and I want to keep diferent imagines, but I don'...

Here's the thing... I want to keep playing around with different software and configurations on my RPI... but I have already highly customized my Raspbian distribution. You might be interested in these http://stores.ebay.com/njytouc.....34.c0.m322 They are mostly 7 inch 800x480 panels with controller kits. Re: Keyboard/Mouse issue

Just noticed. /media/SDCARDPartition1/boot/kernel.img That is wrong partition 1's root is used as /boot So it should be /media/SDCARDPartition1/kernel.img Well my partition name is something funny with lots of letters and numbers. That's why I wrote "SDCARDPartition1 instead of the actual name. I'm...

Keyboard/Mouse issue

I'm pretty new to kernal manipulation but I thought I was making a nice progress. Then I realized that my Keyboard/mouse have issues (mostly mouse doesn't work on X). This is what I'm doing: - I flashed/installed an "unmodified" image to the SD Card. Everything works as expected on my RaspberryPi. M...

How do I replace/change the kernel for the PI?

I'm trying to modify the kernel by compiling by myself. So far I have been able to compile and use the kernel on QEMU, but I just got my PI and I have been trying to make it work (the new kernel) in the RPI. I thought it was enough to replace the old kernel with the new kernel on the Fat32 paetition...

Editing a post in this forum is pretty troublesome.

Either way I made a mistake:
- July 19th: Your order has been received

Supposed to be:
- July 19th: Your order has been sent

Either way when I get home from work and check out the package I'll let you guys knows when It was really sent

Re: Kernel and distro source download.

Thank you for the feedback. Yea I needed the kernel not the distro (I'm still a noobie to linux).

Anyways, do you know if the raspbian has special modifications to the kernel? If I modified and recompiled the kernel for the Debian Squeeze image. Should I work for the Raspbian?

Compiling a QEMU kernel for debian6-19-04-2012

Ok I'm a bit desperate here.... why? Did you receive a RaspberryPI this week? last week? three weeks ago?

Who did you get it from?

How long were you waiting for it since you placed your order?

I know I'll be waiting for a long time since I just order it (June 29th) but I would like to have an estimate on the date

Debian "bootloader"

Does the Debian distro for the PI has a bootloader? What's its name?

Is it just something extremely basic without a name or is it something a bit more elaborate like GRUB? (I know it doesn't have grub)

I certainly appreciate the input but I believe that most people looking for a "screen" for a Rasperry Pi already know that you can use any HDMI tv/monitor or RCA TV and do a direct connection. In my case (and I know many others) we are looking to integrate the screen with the device OR use a left ov...
