script for restore missing file

Hi everybody. I am not very skilled with shell scripts, so I prefer to ask: I want to copy the file /boot/config.old to /boot/config.txt IF /boot/config.txt is missing OR has a size=0 I can make it with a c program, but I would prefer make a shell script or use commands in the /etc/rc.local script. ...

Re: PI 3b+ SSH password refused by network, not by local keyboard

So rqspberry should work, but it does not. Edit: After new tests. If I put a password suitable for both French and UK keyboard, e.g 'erty', it works... I can log thrue ssh Even if I change my local settings with raspi-config, the 'a' is not accepted by ssh in the password. But if I use a password wi...

Re: PI 3b+ SSH password refused by network, not by local keyboard

I am pretty sure that the problem is not about the keyboard layout issue. Neither rqspberry or raspberry are OK thrue network login, but rqspberry is Ok (as expected) with direct loging.

Re: dnsmasq: wlan0 not found

Finally, I found my mistake: I must use bind-dynamic in /etc/dnsmasq.conf interface=wlan0 # Use interface wlan0 bind-dynamic # server=8.8.8.8 # Forward DNS requests to Google DNS domain-needed # Don't forward short names bogus-priv # Never forward addresses in the non-routed address spaces$ dhcp-ran...

dnsmasq: wlan0 not found

Hello. I try to create an access point with my Raspberry 3 with the new Raspian strech lite (2017-09-07-raspbian-stretch-lite.img) In this version, we don't use the /etc/network/interfaces file. So most of the documentation on internet is obsolete. My problem: dnsmasq seems to start BEFORE the wlan0...

Re: autorun script on usb stick

Finally, after some hours fighting with rules and log, I give up... I wrote a basic script testing if the sitck is inserted: #!/bin/bash # autocopy.sh # Written by Alexandre GESP pour ACE ELECTRONIQUE while true; do if [ -d "/media/pi/TRANSFERT" ]; then # Control will enter here if $DIRECTORY exists...

Re: SD card RO, USB drive RW

Thank you.
It doesn't really matter if the usb stick is corrupted, as long as I can log with SSH or FTP and repair it if corrupted.
What I want is to avoid is to open the box to change the SD card.

SD card RO, USB drive RW

Hello. I'm pretty sure I have readed somewhere how to mount a USB memory stick at boot, and put all the RW folders on it. But I can't retrieve the link... The goal is the boot on SD card, and then avoid to write on the SD (because of the risk of corruption), using the USB stick instead. Do you know ...

omxplayer framebuffer

Hello. I need for a projet to make a screen snapshot of the HDMI output. So I use the framebuffer ( /dev/fb0 ) and make a picture from the pixel. Unfortunatly, it seems that video played with omxplayer doesn't use framebuffer, because if I see the video on the screen, I don't see her in the picture....
