Re: Windows IoT on Pi Zero

10IoT feels much lighter because there isn't much running or installed with the default image. But we won't know for sure since you can't do it, could be that is just as slow as you imply. :) Thanks for the suggestions @mikronauts. 1) Yep, good point. 2) Agreed, just doing R&D right now. 3) Agreed. ...

Re: How to disable Windows 10 IoT logo during boot?

@8r13n thanks. Can you share with us how to change the logo image? I have another thread already started. See here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=105&t=132801 This is easy to do. Guys saying you have to violate some agreements are incorrect {MOD EDIT - INSULTS REMOVED]. Just go ...

Re: Windows IoT on Pi Zero

Thanks for sharing. From what I read, option 1 allows you to use Win IoT for commercial purposes without any fees as long as you keep it connected to the internet and allow auto-updates. Is that how you interpret it as well? Thanks for the link fruitoftheloom. Made for an interesting read - the "fre...

Re: Windows IoT on Pi Zero

Thanks again. DietPi looks interesting. I'll take it for a spin on the Zero and check it out. You are most welcome. There are quite a few alternatives to a full Raspbian, which may work better for your application. Of course, this all depends on what your app needs from the underlying OS. Take a pee...

Thanks for the suggestions @mikronauts. 1) Yep, good point. 2) Agreed, just doing R&D right now. 3) Agreed. This is what we've been thinking. I think this will be the best path. Just hate that Raspbian is so slow on the Zero. 1) If I were you, I'd ask MS what the eventual per unit license fees will ...

Re: Windows IoT on Pi Zero

[Mod: sarcasm deleted - please be pleasant to other users.] I have plenty of Raspberry Pi 2s FYI. It's for a product and the difference between $5 and $35 for a product is a big deal. Thanks for the quick reply. I guess I might have to wait until the Zero 2 has the ARM7 chip. You could have a long w...

Windows IoT on Pi Zero

Does anyone know if there are any plans to get Windows IoT running on the latest Raspberry Pi, the Pi Zero? It seems like the Pi Zero is using an older chip.

Is Raspberry Pi WiFi dongle the only one supported right now

Last I checked, only the official Raspberry Pi Wifi dongle was supported. Does anyone if other Wi-fi dongles are supported yet and if so, which ones?

Where can I find the directory for Windows boot logo?

Hi folks,
I'm using build 10.0.10586 and interested in replacing the boot logo. Are these images in a directory somewhere I can swap? If so, anyone know where? My guess is they are compiled into one of the signed binaries. I appreciate any pointers you can provide.
