Re: Moving Linux Kernel to 5.10

I‘ve been using a Pi 4 as a NAS for quite some time now and it‘s been running great.

I tested this by installing an older version of the 64Bit Raspberry Pi OS which i...

I have an old rapsberry Pi B+
Your current kernel revision = 3.12.35+
Your current kernel build = #730
upgrading the kernel would be my recommendation.
As safety net using a cloned SDcard, so going back to the original version in case of unsurmountable issues is easily achieved

If you are thinking of using a powered USB hub to power your Pi I dont' think that is a good idea, but it might help if you have addition devices connected to the hub or your wifi connected to the hub. 1) wifi connected to the hub => worked 2) Pi with a 1.5A PSU (previously used 1.2A) and wifi plug...

Dear MrEngmann, thank you so much for this great tool!
I was able to use a RTL8812au based stick due to it.
Unfortunately I have another RTL8811cu based stick currently lacking a driver.
Would you see a chance to get that added?

Keep in mind that FAT32 has a maximum file size of 4 GB, so a ROOT size of 3,964 MB + 256 MB of BOOT is going to exceed 4 GB. Use EXT4 or NTFS (which may require installing ntfs-3g). @RonR Thanks you nailed the root cause.I failed to consider the fact '+ 256 MB of BOOT'. Maybe a check could be adde...

PowerShell ... what benefit there is to you compare to scripting in Bash?
there is a comparison with a focus on security, maybe this helps.
