Re: How to set up Xbox 360 Controllers

You don't need to do any of the original post anymore it is years old, just install Xpad, restart the PI and go through the controller initial setup routine.

Re: Mounting a Seagate Personal Cloud NAS

Try this in your /etc/fstab instead

Code: Select all

//192.168.1.4/Public /mnt/PersonalCloud cifs username=username,password=password,uid=1000,gid=1000,iocharset=utf8,noauto,x-systemd.automount 0 0
Should solve both

Re: Run script on startup

Are you wanting to autostart your program when the GUI starts up? If so I believe you will want to add your entries here:- nano ~/.config/lxsession/LXDE-pi/autostart Create a little exectuable script in your home folder to do what you want (the cd and ebook start) make sure it works when you run it ...

Why?

I doubt you'll be able to stop the DHCP server giving out a default gateway (which is what you want in your set-up)

What is wrong with static?

Re: Block complete internet access | Only use local area net

Two people have suggested simply removing the 'default route' or 'gateway' from the network configuration. Is there some reason why that solution is not acceptable? i have set it dchp...so how ? Choose an ip address outside of your routers DHCP scope range and change your PI network config to stati...

Re: Acces denied when copying files

Nope not stupid :)

Can you copy the contents of your /etc/fstab and post it here?

I don't use USB drives I map to my various NAS drives but it will be a permissions issue (uid/gid)

Re: Acces denied when copying files

Which settings would that be, you mean the permissions as well?
Did you mount the drive using /etc/fstab

If so can you post up what you put in there?

Re: Megadrive & MAME rom not running on Retropie

Hi,

Yes you need the NeoGeo BIOS for MAME

https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/MAME

Also be aware not just any rom's will work they have to be version 0.37b5

Re: Wireless 360 controller disconnecting

Hi

I used the Official Microsoft receiver and have no issues at all so maybe it's because its a 3rd party?

Do you have a powered USB hub? If so try it in that and then hook up the hub to the pi.

I use a pair of Xbox 360 wireless controllers on mine, works a treat. Just purchase the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver For Windows and then get yourself a controller. I already had my controllers so.. worked out cheap :)

Resizing the SD card partition (Jessie)

Hi all, So I recently bought another PI with an 8GB SD Card with Noobs on and installed Jessie. I've loving it so far but in my haste I don't think I thought it through and I'm quite low on disk spare on the SD Card. I'm also using some network shares but bottom line is I'd like more space on the SD...

x11vnc & /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE-pi/autostart

Hi All, I'm using the PI 2B with Jessie and I've been experimenting with x11vnc as I want to control the graphical (LDXE) session that the PI uses from another PC. So far so good I've got VNC working fine however I'm struggling to get x11vnc to autostart up I've tried various things and the last (mo...

Re: Minecraft Pi installed, but no mcpi folder

Noobs is very easy to use and there's full instructions for adding it to a card using Windows. Once the bootloader comes up tick Jessie and let it do its thing

Jessie now boots to a GUI automatically
