Still waiting for a reply from them but the screen lights up with RPi power and when I add power to the screen as well it shows no change. Thanks for the replies all. The laptop would need a new motherboard and I have enough laptops now without rebuilding an old model though I may think about it . just curious if my tab 2 Samsung could be used as a monitor. At present I'm using a 19 inch monitor but lack of room makes me wonder if this would work as it is a better solution for me. I will have a look at JuiceSSH to see if I can use that
