Re: Using Dave Welch's bootloader07

Thanks to everyone who replied. I built a toolchain on linux using crosstool-ng, built and loaded blinker01using minicom and bootloader07 under linux and it worked. Hopefully I now have an environment in which I can develop my own programs for my Raspberry Pi A+. BTW the arm toolchain that didn't wo...

Re: Using Dave Welch's bootloader07

The problem does not seem to be speed related. As far as I can tell screen does not have a file transfer capability. I spent time on Saturday building a toolchain under linux but the resulting programs do not run on the raspberry pi. I'm going to try again using cross tool-ng to create the tool chai...

Re: Using Dave Welch's bootloader07

Well I've determined that the problem is minicom. I'm using a Mac and I installed minicom using brew. File transfer simply does not work! When I use minicom on linux everything works fine.

Re: Using Dave Welch's bootloader07

I'm sure I'm just doing something wrong in minicom when I try to send the hex file. I left minicom running and used cat to select the file and redirected the output from cat to the port opened by minicom and the program loaded via the boot loader and is running fine. I'd really like to figure why I ...

Using Dave Welch's bootloader07

Hi, I 've successfully booted up with Dave Welch's boot loader and see the IHEX prompt. I'm using minimum. I can't seem to load a .hex file. I don't know what protocol to use. Is it ASCII, which I have been trying. Whenever I try to transfer a file using the ASCII protocol I hear the bell three time...

Re: WiFi Issues ? Start here !

Hi,

It appears that putting the post-up iwconfig wlan0 power off command in /etc/network/interfaces works for me.

Thanks for posting this tip.

Re: WiFi Issues ? Start here !

Hi, I've tried the steps mentioned for creating /etc/network/if-up.d/wlan0 and they don't work for me. I checked the filename, that it is executable and that the command is correct several times. If I enter the ifconfig command from the command line or use sudo to execute the file it works fine. But...

Ad-hoc network under Jessie

Hi, I currently have an ad-hoc network working fine under Raspian Wheezy. I would like to get this set up under Raspian Jessie, but I can't find any information on doing it under Jessie. I been successful in making the networking changes to get static ip addressing working and connecting to the inte...
