Re: VNC + Camera

Thanks for the info Guys!

I have got Camorama to work! However I can only get VNC to show about a 1/4 of the veiw window and can't seem to get the VNC to show more of the pi desktop - it only scales the window rathere than reveals more desktop when I try to enlarge it, any ideas?

Thanks again

VNC + Camera

Hi, I have a Zero running the latest OS that has a Pi Camera attached. I am using VNC over the internet to access / run the Zero. How do I get to see a picture from the camera? All the tutorials seem to either point at Motion OS or seem designed to work on a LAN. I would be quite happy to just see a...

I can quite happiliy do this over my LAN and get full access, however I can't seem to get my Zero into my "team" in VNC veiwer. Reading the VNC documents it appears that I need to sign into my VNC accoun...

Re: Rpi and BT Home hub

Thanks for the reply, I was more after the port forwarding settings I should make. If I want to contact rpi from outside my home network should I make my Pi accessible to my web browser I use outside? If that is the case how do I find my web address so that I can type it into that browser to get to ...

Rpi and BT Home hub

Hi,

I have a Pi running rpi and a pi camera on a wifi network from my BT home hub 4.

Can somone please point me at a tutorial on how to view RPI over the internet?

At present I am using XRDP and remote desktop - can I use that?

Re: Networking - needs ethernet connection to connect

Thanks Marcus,

Is there no way to change the config file to lower the priority of the ethernet?

Networking - needs ethernet connection to connect

Hi, I have a Pi B+ with a wifi dongle and can quite happily connect to it using XRDP and remote desktop at home. I connected it to the work ethernet to configure the wifi, re started the remote desktop and connected through the wifi, removed the ethernet cable and everything works fine. However if t...

Re: Servo tutorials

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I am using PigPio. I have tried to work out how the servo.py program (or should I call it a script?) mentioned earlier in this thread works. I wish to adapt it to move a servo sufficiently to the left or right to engage a clutch, the exact amount will have to be de...

Re: Servo tutorials

Hi, Having got a servo to work the test run I am struggling to work out how to adapt the program to turn the servo a fixed distance to the left or right, is there a good post on this I am missing? ( I am trying to write a program along the lines of If ...... Then turn servo 56 degrees left, if ........

Re: Servo tutorials

Wiring Checked, GPIO pin checked - all seems to be working but still no movement in the servo.

I will try getting a new servo to see if it is that - but the servo does work with the old RC unit.

Any ideas what else I can check?

Battery(6v) via UBEC (5v)
+ve to servo
-ve to servo and ground on Pi
GIPO 23 to middle controller lead on servo

I will check when I get home later!

Re: Servo tutorials

Sorry,

Just trying this out for the first time. should the servo.py program make my servo move? - I can't seem to get it to work. I'm using an old Nikko servo.

Any tips on troubleshooting or any wider parameters needed for an old servo?

Voltage regulator

Would

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Etronix-4-8V- ... Sw5VFWH8WJ

allow me to run my Rpi off a 6volt scooter battery? If so does anyone have experience of this?

If not is there somthing else I could use?

RC Servos

Can I use a Pi to control the servos in my RC Tank directly (removing the radio receiver and replacing it with the Pi) or will I need to put some sort of relay in between - any recommendations?

BTW can anyone recommend a tutorial or build log for anything similar?

TIA

Sandy
