Re: Getting consistent images (exposure-wise)

dear everybody, dear 6by9 we recently had our second solar balloon flight to the stratosphere. unfortunately the camera did't work for the second time (the first time a slow sd card might have been the reason). we used the following code and got all black photos and videos during the long flight. an...

Re: Is there still something auto even with fixed awbg, iso,

The color-sync routine works on live video. Sadly I can't release the source for it. It is baked into our video processing software, and that is proprietary. But if your problem is that you have a single camera that has a color issue, then I suggest you search around the forum here for other thread...

dear torkel

wow, great. does the sync routine work for video, too? and would you make the routine available to us?

Re: Is there still something auto even with fixed awbg, iso,

dear 6by9

thank you very much for your quick and detailed replay!

did i get it right? using the statistics pass doesn't affect video capture. or would there be a possibility to program a white balance feature and use it before we let our balloon fly?

thanks again, roman

Re: Is there still something auto even with fixed awbg, iso,

bonjour we're struggling with a pink colour cast and brighter corners due to a lens change. also, we cant't get the exposure set completely manual (camera.awb_mode = 'off', camera.awb_gains = (1.5, 1.5)). do you know if there was an update to get rid of the lens compensation? and what would you sugg...

Re: Remove metering

Add -set to your command and it will print out shutter speed and gains used.
dear 6by9. thanks a lot. i couldn't find out where the -set command is documented and how to get it to work. could you elaborate a little how to see the gain used while video capturing?

Re: Kernel Panic when switching USB power off/on - anyone te

oh, thanks. so there is no LAN9512 to switch off ;o) would there ne another ways to reduce the power consumption further (it's about 50 mA now)? will switching off hdmi and reducing the cpu clock speed make a noticeable difference? at the moment i'm writing data to an usb stick. would it be better t...

Re: Kernel Panic when switching USB power off/on - anyone te

dear all i'm also looking for a way to save energy for a long distance ballooning project. if i switch off the usb/ethernet chip on my model A+, how can i ever switch the chip on again (it's going to run out of energy at the end of the flight)? is there a way to switch it off with gpio connected but...

Re: Remove metering

dear all. i'm also trying to get rid off auto exposure and i'm confused if "-ex off" is now implemented in the official raspbian wheezy mai 2015, of if i need to do the patch described in the thread. thanks for any help. (raspivid -o b-h264 -w 1920 -h 1080 -ex off -awb sun -fps 25 -ISO 100 -ss 2500 ...

Re: problem of direct connect form OS X Yosemite

after installing netatlk (sudo apt-get install netatalk) i can connect with raspberrypi.local. but the server needs a lot of resources at startup and probably is bad choice for energy critical applications. is there a working alternative to ssh in the field (with and without wifi internet connection...
