Re: Can I Teach my 4 Year Old to Program?

Our 4 year old was typing in programs from magazines at 4 using a C64. Not exactly learning to code but it got him into computer work in adult life. Currently runs his own computer business.

Re: Want solderless headers for the Pi0?

If soldering headers onto thirty Pi Zeros has you in a cold sweat, contact your local Amateur Radio club. There's at least one in every town and they are chock-full of lovely people who will volunteer to do the job for free. OTOH, for one-off when you haven't got a soldering iron, then solderless h...

Re: A mistake

Careful using an IDE cable, you should only use the 40 wire version (ATA33), not the newer thinner 80 wire ones (ATA133 UDMA). In a PC the 80 pin cables enable faster transfers, but have internal grounding and will damage the pi ! http://www.quepublishing.com/content/images/chap7_9780789750006/elem...

A mistake, badly designed cobbler

Being frugal with my hard earned cash (read cheap) i bought a cobbler off ebay for the low cost of $5. It arrived with the IDE plugs broken. Managed to find a cable in my junkbox and found that I cannot use pins 1and 2 the circuit board stops me being able to use.
