Re: LinuxCNC

Hi Kinsa, I tried to create an updated Machinekit installation based on Raspbian Jessie, by your steps, but my instalation freezes or stops responding after from minutes to few hour. I tested it on both RasPi2 and RasPi3. I tried your older image RPi2-machinekit-1.0 on same RasPi2 everything works f...

Re: LinuxCNC

What about run RPi2-machinekit-1.0.img run on RPi3? I tried it but it didn't boot. It's a problem of 64bit architecture?

Re: LinuxCNC

Hi, I found an article about experimental hardware accelerated OpenGL driver for Raspberry Pi. http://hexus.net/tech/news/graphics/90491-raspberry-pi-2-gets-hardware-accelerated-opengl-support/ I want to ask, now I using image RPi2-machinekit-1.0 and there is low performance of LinuxCNC GUI on RasPi...

Re: Turn Raspberry Pi into a P.L.C (Programable Logic Contro

I wrote last Friday at codesys support, some guy tried to help me, now he claim that he writing some document for me how to do that. After your last reply I install Beremitz only for quick overview, it looks fine. Maybe if I write document with well described SPI communication between our boards and...

Re: Turn Raspberry Pi into a P.L.C (Programable Logic Contro

In this moment none of our boards can't be driven by CODESYS because of this problems with drivers what I wrote before. I tried CODESYS forum, but there is only basic support, eg. http://forum.codesys.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=6494 and same problem also without response http://forum.codesys.com/viewt...

Re: Turn Raspberry Pi into a P.L.C (Programable Logic Contro

Thanks for reply, sometimes people need to hear any good feedback to their work. This ethercat is good idea, we can do it like board, where can be option to be master or slave. We are looking for opportunity for use of same hardware on some different field of use eg. LinuxCNC for controlling CNC mac...

Re: Turn Raspberry Pi into a P.L.C (Programable Logic Contro

I done with all these demos, I can change what to send over SPI port, set message length, etc. But the real problem is make connection between library and project. In demo PiFace on IO Mapping tab is one byte input and one output. I can't change it. I need to add some bytes more, maybe some differen...

Re: Turn Raspberry Pi into a P.L.C (Programable Logic Contro

Hi, Does anyone have experience with making drivers for CodeSys? We develop hardware for LinuxCNC/Machinekit and we are looking for other field of use for this hardware. This system consist of RasPi2 and of control boards connected by SPI port. We are done with board for 4 stepper motors, IO board f...
