Re: XBMC running on Raspberry Pi

Im just compiling the latest revision of OpenELEC , currently my first Pi is running build 10695 and most of the reported issues do not affect my install. CPU is approx 85% on the menus, but I can happily scan a media folder ~ 350films , and a Music folder ~4000 folders and it has not crashed or cau...

Re: User group in Bristol

The Bristol LUG meets on a Saturday at the Knights Templar (Bristol) - which seems to work well. A weekend meet would probably work better than a weekday one.

If the venue is contacted in advance they may be "willing" to loan power? (I certainly know my local wouldn't mind).

Perhaps we should time how long it takes to boot for the first time (its been about 5minutes now since I saw the OpenELEC/PI Splash)

Re: OpenELEC meets Raspberry Pi - part 1 (XBMC)

I remember back in the early Slackware days of compiling stuff from scratch, ./configure, make, make install *memories*

50GB should be enough to build, my OpenELEC.tv folder as its building is at 4.7Gb

Then just have to work out whats left to-do once its built

Happily building currently using Linux Mint 12 , will share binaries once compiled if interested? Although setting up a build environment is great fun!.
