Re: MediaElement doesn't load MP4 video

The current Windows 10 IoT image for RPi2 doesn't use HW acceleration... it's all software.
For now the UI performance are slow.

Re: Retrieve Raspberry Pi 2 Serial in Windows Universal App

Unfortunately it didn't work in Windows Metro Apps, because they was sandboxed. Only runtime apps could get hardware information. But maybe you have luck on IoT devices. Check this documentation: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/windows.system.profile.hardwareidentification.getp...

Windows 10 IoT HDMI-CEC support

Hello,
I would like to use my TV-remote as input device in my Universal App.
Is it possible? Does Windows 10 IoT has support for HDMI-CEC? or is where any lib for which I can use to get events from remote? Maybe something like libcec for linux?!

Re: Skype on RPi?

No problem, maybe you can help with "Remote Control" app for Android/iOS/WebApp? Or maybe you can plan RPC protocol, something simple like REST with plain text or simple XML? I have also not started yet with voicepcm and videortp modules for SkypeKit, you can take a look in Skype SDK for examples too.

Re: Skype on RPi?

I think the main benefit of a command line solution is that it would allow for use in headless systems without the need to run xvfd, Which benefit has CLI in front of RPC??? Tell me at least one of them... I think, due to the restricted processing power of the RPI, there will be a substantial group ...

Re: Skype on RPi?

I though mainly about full command line control so simple bash command can control the entire program. commands which are later easy to "simulate " in a gui layer. This will be implemented in RPC. You can then use it from every environment you like(bash script, javascript, python, php etc...)... Wh...

Re: Skype on RPi?

I'm creating now client with Qt4, have tried Qt5 on qtonpi, but it is not usable at the moment(didn't tried Qt5 on raspbian yet, but don't think it is better there). At the moment it is an alpha version with simple gui and only chat facilities(with contacts list and so on). Gui is scaled, so you can...

Re: Skype on RPi?

No, I don't think so. We should go with skype. Skype on RPi will be interesting for many people and can be used in many Low End and High End projects. Skype box for 25$ + (10$ - 150$(HD Perfomance) peripheral). There is also an interest from XBMC side for skype plugin integration and we can provide ...

Re: Skype on RPi?

It was advertised as Software, it looks like any embedded solutions with skypekit will be considered as an hardware product from skype, and only Apps/Plugins which uses Desktop API can be certified as Software products. My question on skype was: Hello! We (some number of Raspberry Pi users, each wit...

Ups, got an answer :(
Hi,

No your solution would be considered an embedded solution and require to undergo the Skype hardware certification.
We need $4000 for certification test. :?

Re: Skype on RPi?

$4000 of certification test fee is only needed if RPi will be distributed as an "Skype"-device. But we build just a software... But I can't find any adequate description for "Skype"-software certification or licensing on skypedev forum... We should ask this here: http://devforum.skype.com/t5/Certifi...
