Re: Where's my Triangle??

Well i just compiled the example in the post you linked and that runs using the /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libEGL.so but with the DRI2: failed to authenticate error still being present. Running it with the /opt/vc/lib/libEGL.so ends in no compilation and an egl bad surface exception. So thinking I...

Re: Where's my Triangle??

Okay so dumped the BCM stuff and added Xlib, code now compiles but crashes when creating the EGL window surface but compiles okay. I have dummed down my Xlib code so am worried that EGL may need a window attribute set in Xlib to function correctly. Though while playing I get a different response dep...

Re: Where's my Triangle??

Oh blimey, been a while since I picked up the PI, it seems a lot has changed. Does that now mean I can create a context using GLEW and GLFW instead of X11 or the funcky BCM stuff?

Where's my Triangle??

Hi All, Done this code a few times and never had this problem before. I know I am overlooking something simple but been messing with the code for 3 days and can't seem to make it work? Feels to me like the shader is not loading the source code and i am getting no errors? All ideas welcome! #include ...

Raspberry Pi Dcc Model Railway Controller

Hi All, I have been working on a dcc commander for my model railway and using the raspberry pi to control it all. It has been surprisingly easy to do so thought I would share my code and circuit in case anyone else was trying to do similar. It is very basic at the minute but does provide enough to g...

A basic OpenVG code template for Beginners

Hi All, I have been messing with OpenVG for about a year now on and off. The learning curve is very steep and there are a lot of different concepts to learn. just getting a working context and surface can be a pain sometimes and i created a handy template that is simple for the basic programmer (lik...

Re: Pi 2 1.2 to 1.6Ghz

Thanks for the feedback guys, makes a lot of sense didn't think of it being an arm inside a bcm! And also didn't realize it was 40nm construction!

Thanks

Pi 2 1.2 to 1.6Ghz

So been having a look at some of the chips on the Pi2 and there features and stumbled across the Arm website. Was initially looking at some of there high end processors and wondering how easy it would be to buy a better chip and whether it would work? Anyways look at the spec of the Cortex-A7 series...

Having Fun with threads! Very Interesting

So since the Pi2 and the extra cores I thought is maybe worth looking in parellel programming to see how cool it is. I created a simple program to calulate primes and stress the cpu so I could monitor core usage in htop while running. Here is the program I created! #include <stdio.h> #include <pthre...

Re: Configuring gnu gcc compiler

You may find this useful for the compiler flags...

http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc/ARM-Options.html

Go to Project -> Build Options -> Compiler Settings tab -> Other Options and add -march=armv6 (or raspberry pi 2 -march=armv7)

Are you asking how to cross compile? ie compile the program on say a windows or linux machine?
