Use and show local time

Hi
I just changed time zone, using tzselect. It shows the local time and Universal time correctly. But the time stamp on files and the clock time on the screen is universal. How can I go to local time?

My audio is silent. I have checked the settings and they are OK, going to analog. There is a lot of "noise" in the speakers so they something is coming but no real sound. The only option was PCM in the audio device settings and I assume the streamed media sound on the internet will not pe audible? T...

I want to login with Winscp to my raspberry pi. I lost my password and it's not the default. How can I find it, it must be in the startup file somewhere?

Hi I'm running Raspberry model 2B on version 8 (Jessie). "wlan0: not associated" at the icon. I have configured interfaces and wpa_supplicnat.conf for wlan0. I get eth0 confiured and can see the icon "shining".
But wlan0 is still not associatde.
I get error when running ifup wlan0 - "failed to bring up wlan0".

No I don't.
but I can see the list with
sudo iwlist wlan0 scan
and I cans ee my router there.

Raspbian - sorry, where can I find the version?
The dongle is Belkin (that's all I know)
I am struggeling with interfaces and wpa_supplicant.conf

Now I cannot scna with iwlist which I could yesterday. Of course I have changed something in between.

dhcpcd not running

Hi
I was trying to connect and install the wifi dongle. When editing the configuration fiels I somewhere got "dhcpcd not running" from the icon on the desktop.
eth0 works perfectly but the icon does not show "the traffic".
I did not succeed in the wifi issue, can it be related?

I can't see any language configuration in Menu/Raspberry Pi configuration utility. Only for the keyboard.

I just tried to install a French version of Raspbian by choosing language=French. I don't see any different from the English version. Everything appears in English.
What is actually the difference?

I tried to reinstall but still cannot perform commands in the command window. They don't seem to be executed. Freemat

Having installed Freemat it appears under Educations so I put my question here.
Is anyone using Freemat?
I have several problems. First the "input" function did not work. Now I don't get any respons from the command line.
Reinstall maybe?
