Re: HDMI TV connection keeps disconnecting.

Further investigation has shown that this is related to screen blanking. As soon as screen blanking occurs so does audio stop. . If I activate the keyboard the screen and audio refresh so as I said previously the 3B+ runs fine just stops feeding HDMI. I have now set config_hdmi_boost=9 one step at a...

Re: Power supply

To get an idea of what a dog, big or small, can bite through give it an uncooked beef bone and see how long that lasts.
Armour plating the wires is not the solution but training the dog is.

Getting back to the dog. Your local petshop should have products you apply to stuff you don't want chewed.

Re: Power supply

After reading that article and if I understand it would appear that getting a shock from a LiPo battery could kill but one would have to get the current to flow through the body. Not just a finger shorting positive and negative next to each other. However standing in a puddle of water and touching p...

My suggestion is train the dog before it chews into a real power supply and becomes cooked dog.

Re: HDMI TV connection keeps disconnecting.

I'l reply in the same sequence as the questions. No message from my script. It just carries on running as though nothing went wrong. It is a 3B+ and I'm running it with the power supply recommended for the 3B+. Yes I can still SSH into my machine, which makes me believe that the problem may be with ...

HDMI TV connection keeps disconnecting.

Up until a few days ago I used a Raspberry Pi B2 connected via HDMI cable to my TV which in turn was connected to a sound bar to play my music. This worked fine for months but being the fiddler I am and no leaving well alone when the opportunity came to replace that Raspberry with a B+ and I did it....

Re: Explain this command

fbe You are quite correct in saying that that file only needs to be read.
Now I was about to do the Apache Directory setup but it would appear that you are saying that is not necessary and, if I understand correctly, all I need do is alter the permissions on the file to 755.

Re: Explain this command

Initially I was not thinking of making a web page to monitor my solar system but I have now changed my mind and would like a "real time" web page doing just that. The file that I want to get to is on an external drive as it is very data intensive, a write every 2 or 3 seconds, and I did not for that...

Thanks you suggestions worked for me. You should be able to browse to it at 196.32.102.29/lcars/solar5.html.
